Bug#926486: Removed package(s) from unstable

2019-09-23 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

   zapping | 0.10~cvs6-17 | source, amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, i386, mips64el,
mipsel, ppc64el, s390x

--- Reason ---
RoQA; Orphaned in Debian since 2140days, popcon < 100, last upstream release
was 2006
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 926...@bugs.debian.org.

No matter what options I give it, ytalk prints a usage message and
exits. This includes "ytalk -v", "ytalk root", etc.

Seems completely broken. But, if I run it via the "talk" alternative, it
works.

Hi,

A short (10 minute) ytalk conversation with another user
on this system causes 76 log entries to appear:

Jun 6 13:54:01 pick talkd[8533]: connect from pick.sel.cam.ac.uk

Pretty much all like that. Previous versions of ytalk didn't have
this behaviour, and I don't think it's correct?

I ran zapping and it killed the X server and I had to log back in and lost all

Package: zapping
Version: 0.6.1-2
Severity: wishlist

Hi!

It would be nice to support -c "set_channel ct1" even without running X...

BTW there's probably bug in manpage, there's an example:

zapping -c="set_channel BBC"

...but correct syntax is zapping -c "set_channel BBC"... (note missing =)

Hello.

I am using ru_RU.UTF-8 locale.
ytalk fails to handle some of Russian UTF-8 characters: it shows characters
only half of Russian characters.
Chars 'а-п' & 'Р-Я' are displayed correctly; chars 'р-я' & 'А-П' are
displayed as squares in xterm and as strange characters in konsole.

Thank you for your work. Tell me if you need more info.

Package: zapping
Version: 0.9.1-1
Severity: normal

This is one of the new bug that appear now all the crashing
zapping bugs are fixed :-/

When the setting "prevent sound when switching channel" is set to
true in "general options > audio" in preferences, the sound is
not only set to null on the mixer line, it also does not restore
it after the switching is done. Thus one have to open the volume
control and set the line volume level by hand to restore it.
Settings this option to false prevent this bug.

Regards
Alban
