This isn't quite the answer to your question, but a long time ago I developed a TrueType font for the 3-of-9 barcode (I decided to implement that instead of UPC because I only needed to encode short strings so compactness wasn't terribly important, and it only had two bar widths so it would be easier to read). It's available at http://www.cs.nmsu.edu/~pfeiffer/Code39.ttf I have 3OF9.ttf in my box but I can't remember where I got it from. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I'm not aware of any font for bar codes, per se, mostly because a number can be encoded differently (for some encodings, there's a difference between whether the number's in the left or right half of the barcode, for some, there's parity information to consider). If you want to create a barcode, try the "barcode" package. If, instead, you're looking for a human-and-computer readable font, perhaps you're looking for OCR-A (package: fonts-ocr-a) and OCR-B (not in debian) or MICR (also not in debian, I believe). > > Where can I download the fonts? > > TIA > > Ethan > > > -- > To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a > subject of "unsubscribe".
