[Bug 108616] Re: Some keys don't work in gedit with "France" keyboard layout
The output of "gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd" is : layouts = [fr oss,fr,us,epo] model = options = [grp grp:ctrls_toggle] overrideSettings = true Is it normal that the keyboard model "fr oss" has a tabulation in its name? (ASCII character 0x09, I checked with "hd") That seems weird to me. I played with the settings and I discovered than when I check the box "Both Alt keys together change group." then the problem disappears! [Bug 95368] Re: (feisty) unmounting a device icon on desktop gives an error dialog
Looks to me like UTF-8 in a volume name trips things up. iPods get named things like "Steve's iPod" by default, where the apostrophe is somewhere up in Unicode space. I got a three-number \nnn\nnn\nnn sequence in .hal-mtab in place of the apostrophe, and saw this problem. When I wiped .hal-mtab, rebooted (maybe unnecessary, I'm new to Ubuntu and didn't know how to restart gnome-volume-manager) and renamed the iPod (using a Mac) to an all-ASCII name this problem went away for me. [Bug 116912] Free Space on Phone's SD Card Incorrect in Nautilus
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-vfs-obexftp When I view my phone in nautilus using obex://, I can acces the phone's filesystem fine, including the 2 GB SD in it. My phone has about 5 MB free, the SD card is nearly empty. gnome-vfs-obexftp is only reporting the free space in the phone's memory; it does not recognize that the folder that represents the SD card can have a different amount of free space than the phone itself. The upshot is that I can only copy files over in chunks that are smaller than the amount of free space on the phone. It seems like this should be reproducible by - setting up a phone with a micro SD card to work with blutooth - browsing to the phone in nautilus using obex:// - Checking the free space that nautilus reports - Navigating to the folder that contains the SD card data - Verify that the phone memory free space is still being reported, not the SD card free space I am using gnome-vfs-obexftp 0.2-0ubuntu1 on Feisty. ** Affects: gnome-vfs-obexftp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Free Space on Phone's SD Card Incorrect in Nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116912 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-vfs-obexftp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

RE: [Bug 111235] Re: To maximize Windows
Hi, I use ubuntu 7,04 and the problem occurs when 3d qualifies the interface that uses compisys to manage the windows. Also I`ve installed Beryl and with other window managers the problem occurs. Obs. [Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, "Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync"
This really is a deal-breaker. I can't have my mail client locking up like this several times a day. Given the age of the bug I'm surprised no one has been able to fix it. Can you just borrow some working code from the Mozilla Thunderbird team? (I kid, I kid . . . ) I'm running Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 on an IBM Thinkpad T41: 1. Download mail into local mbox spool, /var/spool/mail/username 2. Attempt to open mail with Evolution 3. Get several duplicate messages and error box 4. Restart evolution and cross fingers hoping it will resolve itself 5. Lather, rinse, repeat If someone can tell me what error/debug/log files you need to troubleshoot I will be happy to post them for you. -- evolution bug, "Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/27014 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
