[Bug 150373] Re: creating a 7zip gives error
I am not able to create 7zip archives with file roller if the path containing the file to compress has one or more spaces in it. Does this issue have to do with my problem, or I have to report a new bug? Other archive formats work well in this case. -- creating a 7zip gives error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150373 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 223965] Re: Tar lzma nautilus default opening
1. Open Nautilus 2. select a file (for example a .pdf) 3. right click and select "Create archive..." (guessed, for I have localized labels) 4. select tar.lzma or .lzma as archive type and click on Create button Bug: the result file is smaller, has .lzma as extension, but the icon is not a box and double clicking does not open the archive. With any other archive type (except for .ar, other bug) is possible to create and open the archive. -- Tar lzma nautilus default opening https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223965 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 223965] Re: Tar lzma nautilus default opening
I have the same problem with a fresh install of Ubuntu Hardy AMD64. The command gvfs-info returned: display name: file.lzma edit name: file.lzma name: file.lzma type: regular size: 18 attributes: standard::name: file.lzma standard::type: 1 standard::size: 18 standard::display-name: file.lzma standard::edit-name: file.lzma standard::copy-name: file.lzma standard::content-type: application/octet-stream standard::icon: GThemedIcon:0x625240 standard::fast-content-type: application/octet-stream unix::device: 2055 unix::inode: 9795489 unix::mode: 33188 unix::nlink: 1 unix::uid: 1596898072 unix::gid: 1596457473 unix::rdev: 0 unix::block-size: 4096 unix::blocks: 8 time::modified: 1232452064 time::modified-usec: 0 time::access: 1232452064 time::access-usec: 0 time::changed: 1232452064 time::changed-usec: 0 etag::value: 1232452064:0 id::file: l2055:9795489 id::filesystem: l2055 owner::user: slocascio owner::user-real: owner::group: domain^users access::can-read: TRUE access::can-write: TRUE access::can-execute: FALSE access::can-rename: TRUE access::can-delete: TRUE access::can-trash: TRUE I can see I have the mime type set as "application/octet-stream". ~/.local/share/mime/globs contains a reference just about lst files. /usr/share/mime/globs does not contain any reference to lzma ("string not found") I think this IS a configuration bug (as almost 50% of bugs here on launchpad); it should work out of the box. -- Tar lzma nautilus default opening https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223965 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
