I have managed to resolve the problem by removing .gimp-2.8 and restarting gimp. my bad Volodya; i misread the bug report. i'm on ubuntustudio thats probably why i have the ARandR. I've been told ARandR has been replaced by XFCE display (the entry that you have in settings manager) I'm afraid i can't help you more than this. I was unable to reproduce the bug with a single screen, nor a dual screen. Volodya: maybe there is an overlap in your ARandR settings? I should clarify that no such things happen in any other application. My hardware section has: Additional Drivers, Bluetooth Manager, Display, Keyboard, Mouse and Touchpad, Network Connections, Power Manager, Printers, Removable Drives and Media.
