[Bug 485744] Re: Ubuntu graphical file browsers, namely Nautilus, drop nfs-shares partly or entirely

2010-10-15 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. A new version of Nautilus is available on Maverick and we
are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version?
Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

2010-10-15 Thread Peter Åberg
Thank you for your inquiry.
I am pleased to inform you that the problem seems to be history. My home
server is on Lucid 64bit and my PC on Maverick (final) 64bit. I
installed Maverick on Sunday 10. October and since my system has worked
perfectly. In the unlikely event that problems still occur, I will
naturally inform you. Thank you for taking interest in my problem.
My very best regards,
Peter

2010-02-10 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Please answer these questions:
1. Is this reproducible?
2. If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? Be as
detailed as possible.
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

Re: [Bug 485744] Re: Ubuntu graphical file browsers, namely Nautilus, drop nfs-shares partly or entirely

2010-02-10 Thread Peter Åberg
Thank you for your interest in my problem.

When i filed the bug I overlooked one important descriptor:
The dropping only occurs (occasionally) with NTFS share, never with
native linux file systems (in my case xfs and ext4) which shares are
working perfectly.

My line in the server fstab sharing a NTFS partition:
UUID=76E0CAB5E0CA7B3F /media/XP   ntfs
defaults,nls=utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0   0
And the corresponding nfs mount line in the workstation fstab:
192.168.0.1:/media/XP /media/XP-2 nfs
rsize=32768,wsize=32768,timeo=14,intr,tcp 0 0

Best regards,
Peter
