Title:
  can't open pdfs

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
If a pdf file is attached to an email message, right-clicking and
  selecting Open does nothing.

In 23.10, clicking an attachment opened a dialog asking to save or
  view via an app (okular).

How do I get it so I can view attachments in this "better" flatpak
  version of thunderbird?

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 2067340] Re: can't open pdfs

2024-08-31 Thread Ian Proudler
I've just upgraded from Kubuntu 22.04 to 24.04.1 and this bug appeared.

The pdf is being saved to the Dowonload/thunderbird.tmp folder but no
pdf viewer is started.

This sort of problem was discussed in 2019:
https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/cannot-open-pdf-attachment-with-
thunderbird/11845 but it read as if it would be fixed soon.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1190180] Re: password not accepted in "lock screen"

I have fixed this issue by following the instructions in:

screensaver/+bug/600631/comments/7

password not accepted in "lock screen"

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After upgrade to Kubuntu 13.04, "lock screen" (from the desktop right-
click menu and also when coming out of "suspend to RAM") will not
accept my password. It says that it is invalid. I have checked several
times and I am typing the correct password. I checked that the cap-
  lock light is not on.

I have been unable to determine which package provides "lock screen".
Muon Package Manager says I do not have gnome-screensaver ot
  xscreensaver installed.

I used 'ubuntu-bug' to generate this bug report. I don't know why it
  filed it under 'xorg'.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1193791] [NEW] crashes when reloading session

2013-06-23 Thread Ian Proudler
Public bug reported:

Whilst creating a video DVD using Bombono-DVD I saved the session to a
.bmd 'project' file using Project -> Save. I did not complete the
session and quit Bombono-DVD but did not reboot the computer. On
restarting Bombono-DVD I opened the saved project file using Project ->
Open. Instead of reloading the previous session Bombono-DVD crashed.

I tried the same procedure with the 'Save as ' command and got the same
result.

I tried the rebooting and loading both the 'same' and 'save as' file and
got the same result.
