Or just remove ~/.cache/ibus/libpinyin/user.conf, and re-login.

Title:
ibus-libpinyin can not export user phrases

Status in ibus-libpinyin:
  New
Status in ibus-libpinyin package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
System: Ubuntu 20.04; English is the default language; ibus-libpinyin
is installed by adding input sources through settings.

After enabling "Remember every input as a phrase" option, ibus-
libpinyin is supposed to be able to import and export user phrases.

However, although the export button works, it exports to a blank
document (the exported file type I used is txt). I also tried to
import a pinyin data file I used on Ubuntu 18.04 first, and then
export, but I still got a blank document.

I have checked that dependencies on
https://github.com/libpinyin/ibus-libpinyin/wiki/Installation#ibus-libpinyin-dependencies
are all satisfied except that libpinyin13 is on my system instead on
libpinyin.can not export user phrases.

This bug was reported to the maintainer's github issue:
  https://github.com/libpinyin/ibus-libpinyin/issues/277

Sorry, I can't reproduce this issue.

Could you reproduce this issue with Ubuntu 20.04?

Ubuntu 19.04. If I only install "Chinese (Intelligent Pinyin)", after
pressing 'super+space' input is switched to Pinyin (can be seen from
the icon on system bar). However it still input English directly. Even
if I tried 'shift' button it's still the same.

If I install "Chinese (Pinyin)" it works all perfect. If I install
both "Chinese (Pinyin)" and "Chinese (Intelligent Pinyin)", both
  works.

So, seems something is missing? Something required by Intelligent
Pinyin but only installed with Pinyin?

Right, it will clean the user input history when upgrade from 2.2.0 to
2.3.0.

But libpinyin 2.3.0 is more stable, and ship better pinyin data.

2019-10-08 Thread Peng Wu
> @Peng Wu: Are you able to summarize the purpose of those reversals? Do
they, as I'm implying, make ibus-libpinyin more stable and prevent
certain crash types?

@Gunnar Hjalmarsson: Yes, it will prevent some kind of file corruption.

> to version 2.3.

@Gunnar Hjalmarsson: It will only clean up the user data,
and provide better dictionary data in libpinyin.

Please use the tar ball release for packaging, thanks!
