[Desktop-packages] [Bug 994938] Re: NM indicator fails to show extant wireless connection; opening gnome-control-center fixes it
Thomas, there is no need to set bugs to New if they were automatically confirmed; confirmation can mean that someone else says they are affected via the "Does this bug affect you?" link at the top. keepitsimpleengr, it looks to me like wpasupplicant is having issues. Can you reproduce the bug regularly? If so, I'd like to see wpasupplicant debug logs. To do this, edit the file /usr/share/dbus-1/system- services/fi.w1.wpa_supplicant1.service as root and modify the following line: Exec=/sbin/wpa_supplicant -B -P /run/sendsigs.omit.d/wpasupplicant.pid -u -s -O /var/run/wpa_supplicant As: Exec=/sbin/wpa_supplicant -d -B -P /run/sendsigs.omit.d/wpasupplicant.pid -u -s -O /var/run/wpa_supplicant (add -d, to enable debugging) Reboot; then wait for the problem to be reproduced. This will log all the details from wpasupplicant to /var/log/syslog; so once you can reproduce the issue, make a copy of the /var/log/syslog file and attach it to this bug report.
