Re: [DSTAR_DIGITAL] Re: IC-91AD Buzz on 2 meter Transmit
Try swapping them too?? Strange its only on the one band. My trusty old E90 developed a VFO fault after tightening up the SMA socket, the plastic ribbon had come loose. Removing and refitting solved the problem. I did take the D-Star board out and re-installed it with no affect. But you do give me a idea, which is to take the D-Star board out and see if the Buzz on 2 meter FM is still present. I will try that the next time I have access to the radio. 73, Charles WB5EXI --- In dstar_digital@yahoogroups.com, "Neil" wrote: > > Check the D-Star board hasn't come loose inside or has dirty pins > > 73 > Neil.

Charles, I don't remember if you said you were programming these radios by hand or using software. If using software, a full reset of the radio wouldn't be a bad idea as you can quickly reload memories. If you have the Icom RS91 software, it should be easy (additional help on my site at http://k7ve.org/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=26 ) -- or look at CHIRP http://chirp.danplanet.com/wiki/ On Oct 19, 2009, at 11:22 AM, CharlesK wrote: John, I appreciate any ideas or thoughts or things to check. I also think it may be a problem/defect with the radio, but wanted to check with others just in case there might be some setting in the radio that I might have accidentally done/set that is not reset to factory defaults with the Reset All function. These radios were purchased by the County over a year ago and I am not sure if they were every operated until now. They are probably out of warantee and would require some expenditure of funds to get fixed. 73, Charles WB5EXI John D. Charles, OK, just wanted to verify. It's hard to diagnose from a distance, but I would suspect a defect in in 91AD "B" based on the description you have provided. On Oct 19, 2009, at 9:55 AM, CharlesK wrote: John, I had 2 91AD's that I was loading memories and testing. 91AD "A" to 91AD "B" call sign and message went fine on DV and No Buzz on FM from "A" to "B"; same distance "B" to "A" DV did not work and Buzz heard. On 70 cm everything worked fine "A" to "B" and "B" to "A". On an IC-2820 with remote antenna same affect when trying to use 91AD "B". 73, Charles WB5EXI John D.
