Re: [Dx4win] support for the new Kenwood TS-990

2013-04-07 Thread ON4AOI
JOHN,

I WROTE IT A FEW TIMES BEFORE

There can´t be any support for the FT3000 rig file
Not from me or Paul or anyone else.

YAESU left OUT the cat commands for VFO-B and related Mode
So as long there are no commands in the ft3000 firmware
It is impossible

Kenwood radios are in general the easiest to support. They have
pretty much used the same protocol since Day #1.

ICOM are OK, but they do make some changes from radio to radio.

Yaesu is the hardest to support, as they seem to make non-trivial
changes to the protocol from radio to radio.

Hola Sebastian,

I have done some improvements on the Updater, but they are not listed
on the web page. You can try to download/install this version:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/updater/beta/dx4wupd_v6.04_20130327.zip

Here is the first release announcement:

http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/dx4win/2013-March/019453.html

You can find the later ones here:

http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/dx4win/2013-March/date.html

There have been several releases since this announcement, the latest
one is 6.04 and the URL is above. 6.04 includes a real Windows
installer.

I haven't made any changes since March 27. I have been working on
another project for someone else. I hope to get back to the Updater
in the next week or so, after I can get a new country file for DX4WIN
released.

[Dx4win] Won't key CW?

2013-04-07 Thread Mike Bragassa
Why, I don't know; but my DX4win 8.05 / Win95 is not keying the radio. I can
hear it being keyed in the computer. Where is the link broken?

One thing I have never seen is that.now. DX4win is not keeping the interface
setting (LPT-1) I have chosen as it , without fail, has always done prior.

Any ideas/remedies?
