They're a bloody mess. . The bulls were constantly worn down by *picking*, causing constant pain. Once you see the bull coughing up blood, the whole thing doesn't look so *artistic*.The Portuguese bull fights lack the *grace* because the animals blood is not drained from their bodies, causing them to slow down and movements becoming more steady and more predictable. From the clip, it appears that the matador did not expect the bull to charge its horns to the left. For the record, it's not as if droves of bullfighters are regularly slaughtered. This guy is the first pro bullfighter to be killed in the ring since 1985.
