Judy, I realize how disappointed some posters are that unlimited posting has
leveled the playing field between myself and them.

Don't think you're going to get very far with this ploy,

This is hilarious, Judy calling me mentally disabled. If you want to see that

recent exchanges with Nabby; and again her recent exchanges with iranatea about
Robin. Think of a perfume whose name starts with O!

Do I dare to ask Share, do you have a speech impediment?

Share, rise above pettiness! I know you can!

Rose petal preserves, yum yum, your tum tum.

Vata tea .

Blissful Joy on your pillow.

Did you delight in the Care Bear video?
(Did you notice one bear is named Share?) :)

We Care, Share, I type this from my bare, it is rare I would tell you this, but
this whole string of things, is like a nuisance.
You are most on the program, and what is there?
Jesus said something about turning the other cheek.
Let me kiss you OXO, there.

Judy and Emily and Ann are fun. They mean no harm to anyone. Your sisters punch
you in the arm, just put laxative in their Birthday cakes, one by one. I am
kidding, better say this, before I get shunned.

Dear Share, where is the talk about the MA in Film? The talk about courses,
that someday may nil?
Or maybe this whole diversion was created, to not make a stink on the month of
registrant!
Perfect timing, Par four. Perfect plan, how much did someone get paid? Such a
whore? I would believe. Not you or me. Or any of the voices we chant, here we
see!
Just maybe a conspiracy as Bharitu might add, but not the kind Nabby- those
Crap Circles have!

Come on Share, gather round the flag gals, see we are united, the South going
Zak and the North going Zak have Dr. Seuss fucking freaking out about now!

Now Ann's integrity dips even lower as she makes fun of people with a speech

for her. Plus she's too insecure to apologize for her wrong accusation.

Judy, it was Triguna who told me I am pure pitta. Good enough for you? What's
despicable is that Ann admitted she couldn't remember and yet accused me of
making something up. Your lack of integrity shows in your supporting her.

No, you spelled "gobbledygook" correctly, and you weren't
referring to ayurveda itself but rather to Zhare writing
*about* both ayurveda and jyotish:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/message/352125

Ask her whether pitta is her prakriti or her vikriti. She
knows what the difference is, but she probably won't tell
you which. Her prakriti would be the dosha balance she was
born with, whereas her vikriti would be her *current* dosha
balance. You can see why this would be important given her
comment above.

Here is a small rhyme for you:

2013-08-12 Thread Share Long
Ann to Share in the thread started by John called The Illusion of Choice:
The overlay of this ayurvedic and jyotish gobbledygook speak just seems
to hide what is really (or could be) really going on.

Ann to Share today:
Don't remember calling ayurveda "goobly gook" so I probably didn't. You're
making things up...

Don't remember calling ayurveda "goobly gook" so I probably didn't. You're
making things up and I'm pretty sure you aren't "pure" anything. Here is a
small rhyme for you:

Pitta patter on my roof,
Someone here acts like a goof.
Sometimes sorry, often lost,
Looking on with eyeballs crossed.
She can't help it - scrambled eggs
Hopes for cookies not the dregs.
Whipping up a sattvic feast,
Can it help to fill the beast?

So is that it Jim? Ravi is being an asshole. he can't help it - he has
nothing to say here, and he like Barry has some perverse, pathological need
to act out his assholiness? Or he is trying to quit smoking, so he is
antsy, testy, assholy? Yeah? The enlightened wisdom of your God
consciousness I suppose.

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: FFL looks different this morning

2013-08-12 Thread Ravi Chivukula
Vituperation toward Rory is highly debatable.

But peace and equanimity is elusive and illusory. I suppose Krishna
standing at the battlefield should have gone - "to hell with this, this is
too much of conflict, stress, pain and suffering I should just retain and
strive for peace and equanimity, surely a worthy endeavor than truth? !!!"

Such a fascination for peace and equanimity. Liberals are fascinated with
the phony and inauthentic Dalai Lama because they think he is an embodiment
of peace and equanimity.

Nobody cares for truth - and truth involves lot of pain, discomfort,
stress, suffering, causes, triggers lot of anxieties, discomfort, fear
trying to reconcile the contradictions, the complexities and the divergent,
discordant tones of reality.

You think I had a blast going after Rory - that I didn't have to face any
discomfort as I contemplated going after Rory? Why did I not choose peace
and equanimity.

This pretense of peace and equanimity and this intricate philosophy of
wavicles and particles is just a sham. Your post is a perfect illustration,
again, of what I'm trying to say. If Rory or you think that Rory is the
embodiment of peace and equanimity then you are being delusional, benign
and harmless delusion I have to reiterate. Clearly you and Rory are nice
people. I haven't seen but nice, beautiful people around Amma all caught in
benign, harmless delusions.

Sorry I have no desire for such sham of a peace and equanimity.

Alex, I see now - there were enough who attributed it to Curtis that I figured
I must be mistaken.  I think the reaction to Rory has to do with how long he's
been gone - that's how much he's been missed.  Signed, Emily the positive

No, I was just riffing off what Curtis had said. Sure, Rory's language can be a
bit "out there", but the guy's got an enviable degree of inner peace and
equanimity, and it's very strange to see him, of all people, attract such
vituperation.

Ravi, there's an acupressure point that in the past has helped subside cookie
cravings in me. In EFT it's called the Karate Chop point because it's that part
of the hand you'd use to do a karate chop.

Anyway, in Traditional Chinese Medicine it's associated with the small
intestine. When a cigarette craving comes up, you can tap the 2 Karate Chop
points against each other and say whatever comes to mind. The more spontaneous
you are, the better.

When I was doing it, I'd simply say out loud how much I wanted those cookies,
over and over. And then the craving went away (-:

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: FFL looks different this morning

2013-08-11 Thread Ravi Chivukula
Dear Rory,

I am going to consolidate my replies in this reply to your post here
because it perfectly demonstrates what I want to say.

You say it's not your style to point your finger outwards with reference to
Barry. So you will just encourage someone's delusions (Barry's delusions in
this case) because it is not your philosophy. You don't want to feel the
tension, the metaphysical tension caused by the divergent, discordant
nature of reality and you would rather numb the complexities, the
contradictions by sticking to your philosophy of *Us* and *Me*. It is clear
then that you are not driven by any spiritual experience that has caused
any transformation, not motivated by any search for truth but have created
a very beautiful sounding narrative based on borrowed concepts of Maharishi
- now you have given your own spin to it and you spout your philosophy ad
nauseam.

This is the same issue with your erstwhile online autobiography. It was
hilarous - I only read a few lines over a few chapters and it drove me
totally nuts. I'm glad you are over those experiences but its the same
thing you have switched one narrative for another.

I can't seem to remember the incredible narrative of your biography, I have
to say you have a highly fantasized, imaginative mind - but you have this
new narrative now - me, Us, wavicles, particles, healing and integrating of
you and in me (did I get that right).

I am trying my best to be cordial given the sensitive nature of pointing
out someone's delusions - your delusions in this case. I don't doubt your
sincerity, your genuineness - you are a really nice guy. I look at your
picture to day and I go - Oh really Ravi, you want to do this to this nice
guy Rory with a beautiful smile? But I had to. This is not your school, not
your captive audience, not the Batgap list Rory - this is FFL where the
Kali's Pimp does his drive-bys.

I don't doubt your spiritual experiences, your spiritual path - you hear
me? It's the narrative you have built, it's the abstract, vague
philosophical bullshit that you spout that I have an issue against.

It's lame for you to concur with Share on me being testy from trying to
wean off smoking Rory. Anyone who knows me personally know how balanced,
how calm I am even as I am being under various stress, needs of life, how
totally under control I am even as I get mad at people's dishonesty (my
friends don't get to see that though - that is my anger)

No Rory - you can do better than that. Or may be you can't - you can't help
yourself.

But have mercy on others - just imagine there's a limit on posting, get
those wavicles of yours that are out of whack under control.

Ravi.

No Jim seriously - not second time, but I will point it every time at my
own will, my own fancy, my own convenience - just because a delusion is
benign, harmless unlike Barry's sadistic delusions doesn't mean I will let
it go unchallenged.

My world is always awesome BTW - my comments nothing to do with my world -
hilarious, how the hell did you come up with that? It has everything to do
with your delusions, your intellectual masturbation, your fancy tales.

There was a long time when I let lot of delusional thinking go unanswered,
unchallenged viz. Amma is the divine Mother, all kinds of religious,
delusional fantasies like yours, spiritual narratives constructed based on
borrowed concepts such as Maharishi's go unanswered because I was not ready
yet. I had to face my own battles, my own struggles first. I certainly
mocked even back then, but mostly internal and sometimes people had to face
my wrath especially my ex who was totally delusional. You and Rory are at
least nice, functional otherwise.

You talked me off the ledge - hilarious. It's understandable when Barry and
Vaj gave a dishonest, negative spin on my experiences in the past, not you
Jim - it's not acceptable when I have talked about it much. And your thing
about not encouraging me on my playing of guitar - lame, really - you think
I will fail now? In the absence of your UC, BC-fied grace?

If I make a specific appointment with someone to work with them privately,
real-time, in person or by phone, then no, not any more; I am sorry! For those
who are in Fairfield, I set aside most afternoons to play Bananagrams and to
talk with people, and I am generally available then for free if anyone wishes
to speak with me there. And we can correspond by email and facebook for free.

Ah ha ha.  That was *you* Alex, that said that, no?  You'd better make sure you
get over to Rory's palace at the earliest next opportunity to soothe the rough
edges out - perhaps bring him a hangover concoction/remedy from that kitchen of
yours - hopefully nothing that separates on the way over.

Yes dear MJ - the percentage of people using tobacco is much higher and
tobacco is pretty cheap as well. So there - any other questions on India?
Lump 'em together. I am not shy like you, declining to comment on Food

Thank You so much, Emily! It's always a pleasure to hear from You. I must admit
I am now feeling as if I have bitten off a little more than I could chew,
energetically, and am suffering from some "indigestion" that feels rather like
a hangover. I am currently integrating what feels like sadness, disappointment,
shock, betrayal, confusion, anger, drunkenness, judgment, and so on and so
on Quite a potpourri. All good, but a bit spicier fare than I have had
lately. I tend to live a pretty quite life and eat blandly here in the 'Field,
I mean in Fairfield the town.

But all in all a phenomenal day, definitely -- what appears to have been a
relatively civil conversation with Barry, as you say, and conversely what
appeared to be great disapproval from my old friends Judy (who I admit has not
*always* seemed entirely pleased with me in the past) and Ravi (with whom I
have always enjoyed cordial relations, if I recall correctly). An odd day all
around...

Love, Light and Laughter Always,

Rory

Share, Share, do not despair,
now I see how you can get in one's hair.
haha
I hadn't noticed too much before,
and I wondered what all the roar has been,
when Share says something from within!
Dear Share, I did not insinuate you start a topic,
your grasping of the English language, I now see,
is like being on deserted island in the tropics,
with no books to read, no, yes? Can you start a topic-less?
You see, Dear Share, I really like you,
and I could not see why you were picked on so much,
please do not take this to heart as a punch,
maybe a literate librarian lunch?
As I type this, I realize, you must be joking.
Yeah, I just realized you are pulling our legs,
because you say you have an English major or something?
Maybe he was the tall good looking man in the brilliant
tweed suit, who made you a Hare late, wink, wink, if you know what I mean?

I only stated, "Does it matter who starts a topic, Share?"
:) LOL

Now I am in hysterical daze, you must be pulling all of our legs.

Yahoo! Mail is an email client.

Think of an email "client" as a window. You have a mail box
(It could be your Yahoo! email account, or a Gmail account,
or a regular mail server account). The mail box resides on some
server somewhere (or on a group of servers if there is mirrored
backup).

To read your email you need an email client that presents the
emails that are on the server in an orderly and human-friendly
way to you. Many different "clients" can be used to present
the same email account data. E.g. desktop software such as
Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac mail, or browser applications
such as Gmail, Yahoo! mail, FastMail and so on.

Yahoo! groups has an email feed. That means you can read it in
any email client. But then you can also just read it in your
browser as a regular (regular-ish) web site. Which is what I do.

Hey, Ravi, in my twenties I smoked for 8 years, got up to a pack and a half a
day, quit cold turkey, gained 30 pounds, never had or wanted another cigarette.
Good luck with it. Perfect to go for discipline while Saturn is exalted I think.

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: FFL looks different this morning

2013-08-11 Thread Ravi Chivukula
Ok I just asked you the questions on my other post Rory - let's take it
from there.

The reason I bring up Amma is the parallels, very fascinating to me.
Doesn't matter if you want to be a Guru or not - it's the whole language,
the paradigm of yours - based on abstract, philosophical constructs.

But in Amma's case it's not experience as such, it's her lack of education
and sophistication. She's just an illiterate, uncivilized fisher-girl. She
pretty much depends on others, Big Swami - Swami Amritaswarup - to come up
with platitudes and perpetuate the myth and the cult of divine Mother. But
she's actually had *genuine* mystical experiences. But she hasn't healed,
integrated it (gone through vichara - an intellectual reconciliation) -
neither does she have any language to express herself.

Then OTOH people like you, Jim, Xeno - you don't have any mystical
experiences, your autobiography is a big fucking joke Rory - I read it it's
hilarious, I'm glad you took it down. Anyway so you come up with abstract
constructs to make up for lack of any experience. You have to - you have no
choice, the audience demands it - you come up with fancy concepts, people
are attracted by philosophical, intellectual concepts and you provide it to
them. The Rorian Mystery School - perfect !!!

Sure it is relaxing - as I was telling someone it's just not nicotine but
the sensory experience and the whole ritual that goes with it. It's a long
habit for me now.

I think I'm taking in more nicotine with the e-cigarette, the starter pack
has high nicotine and I used to smoke ultra-lights. So anyone I will get
the lighter version and eventually zero nicotine. E-cigs aren't same as
cigarettes sensory wise but pretty close and if I just mindlessly emulate
my ritual with the e-cig I should be fine.

Anyway I hope you don't start the pipe Steve, you may regret :-)

Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: FFL looks different this morning

2013-08-11 Thread Ravi Chivukula
Oh dear Rory, come on you have multiple responses and you are bailing out
here.

Saying you have "healed and integrated parts of me in and of you" is not a
pun, it's vague, abstract, philosophical bullshit and people pay hundreds
of dollars to listen and be titillated by shit like that like our Aunt
Share.

Pun should be simple enough. I say I'm high on divine Vodka - now that's a
pun, there's nothing vague about it - I'm high, as high as a Kite.

Here - let's do this dear Rory.

Ravi to Rory - "you are spouting vague, philosophical bullshit"

Rory - "."

(explains in plain English, devoid of CC, UC, GC, devoid of wavicles,
particles, me, Us, devoid of Rorian Mystic symbols, Rorian philosophy,
devoid of mystic jelly fish..just in plain fucking English how he has felt
the love of me in himself, processed, healed and integrated parts of me in
and of you)

Yeah?

I don't doubt your intentions dear Rory but you are spouting vague
philosophical bullshit dear Rory, you just came up with more. I'm sure you
think you are being real in yourself. I have seen tons of people in
spiritual circles - they are very genuine, very real, very dedicated
unfortunately it is either religious, delusional pursuits or vague
philosophical bullshit like you.

What the fuck "do you mean heal and integrate those parts of you that are
in and of me" - can you fault anyone for interpreting it as some abstract,
vague bullshit - unless you want to clarify? What have you healed and
integrated of me and in you?

Please don't take it personally - neither you nor anyone else I have seen
around Amma were anything but nice people.

2013-08-11 Thread Ravi Chivukula
Dear Judy, I'm just making fun of Rory & Jim's philosophy - as simple as
that. They are big boys - they can handle it. I have no other agenda, no
interest in limiting any one's posts, no interest in enabling Barry's
paranoid delusional antics and tantrums, my word is not Veda :-) - though
it has been a big chore the last 2 days with their unbounded spamming but
nothing I can't handle. See I want to read every message and they are
making it harder right now LOL, I just wish it were very something
interesting, something authentic and real.

Yes dear Obba - I read it, sorry forgot to respond. Thank you for that
superglue tip, I was just being dramatic, the fingers do hurt, are getting
callused but I'm OK so far. I have gotten the hang of the chords I need to
play for the song I'm practicing - just need to now quickly, seamlessly
switch between the chords so I can sing and play the song.

Here's a boy playing the guitar for the song I'm practicing.

2013-08-11 Thread Ravi Chivukula
No dear Rory - it's not fiction, it's a beautiful sounding philosophy. If
it were fiction no one would fucking bother reading it because it's so
cryptic, vague, boring as hell.

As you can see from your audience - Share and Barry, both delusional - one
playing along with you, one playing against you apparently. The more
beautiful the philosophy the more it attracts the delusional, because being
oneself, being authentic, being open, being vulnerable is a hard, being
fascinated by some garbage philosophy and the peddlers of such garbage
philosophy like you, the myriad Gurus, teachers is easy.

Oh please don't call me "ji" dear Rory, your response is too cryptic and
could mean many different things.

I don't want to suggest I don't like you or your posts . I very much do,
but not the other posts, the posts that delve into to UC, GC - the
intellectual masturbation starts from my perspective Please don't take it
personally and you are free to ignore me completely, you don't need to
entertain me or say sorry. And I will be free to criticize and make fun of
anyone I want. I have to do what I feel is my dharma to do - mock at
bullshit.

LOL..you reminded me of my childhood.

I was 9 or 10 and then there was a pocket Bhagavad Gita at my house. I
would start reading it, it would always go...

*"Dharmakshetrey Kurukshetrey...blah blah..kim karoti Sanjaya?
*
I would read that first verse always and then get bored and throw the book
away. And move on fiction, something interesting.

This is the same with Rory and Jim's garbage.

you and Jim, Rory - bless their hearts, spam this list with 100's of posts

that is a fucking problem. Come on find a hobby, go on a fucking walk,

Well, heck, that's an easy fix. Go to Yahoo mail, hover
your mouse pointer over the little gear in the upper right
corner, and click on "Mail Options" in the drop
down menu. At the very bottom, click the little thingie next
to "Basic", click OK on the balloon that pops up,
then click the orange "Save" button. That will
take your Inbox back to only displaying 25 emails at a
 time.

Yup, I think we all thought you were talking about the FFL Yahoo Groups
site. Email is a different matter and there are a lot of options.
Explore them. They updated Yahoo Mail recently and you also had to
agree to letting them read your emails just to keep the account. Haha,
about the only things I use Yahoo Mail for is for publicly posted
messages on groups!

There is but *one* world Share. It's not "reality"; it's your mail
box (that can be viewed via different clients).

I have a Yahoo! mail account that I use to read several hundred
messages a day using the Yahoo! web email client. Recently they
introduced a *smart* feature whereby the right-hand scroll bar
automatically loads more than the initial screen-full as you drag
it down. It uses 'Ajax' technology I suspect. That is to say that
as you drag it down it sends (behind the scenes) requests for more
email headers to display in the list. I find it disconcerting and
very *non* user-friendly. And it conflicts with the option you may
have set in "settings" to display, say, 25, 50 or 100 emails per
screen.

I haven't been following your travails closely, but is this
possibly the irritation you are experiencing?

I just forwarded a long post from FFL to my Yahoo Inbox, and I experienced no

I dunno for sure - but it it 'cos Share is using Yahoo!'s
web *email client* (Yahoo! Mail) to read FFL (and the issue
she has is with that), whereas other folks are referring to
access to Yahoo! groups via browser (which does not have that

Messages with summaries?! Bhairitu, do you mean messages with all the previous
messages unless snipping has occurred? FWIW, I get the FFL posts in my yahoo
email inbox. Yesterday I was looking at them in the archives, I think what you
all call message view.

Months ago I had a Romney ad that I could not get rid of. Installed Something
Plus, and all ads gone forever. Now there's a big blank space where ads were (-:

Anyway, I've figured out a strategy for dealing with scrolling jumping paging
process. So yahoo can keep crumbling cookies to their heart's content!

Yahoo probably changed the way their cookies worked when they added
advertising to the pages. So any old cookies may no longer have
worked. There were probably meetings over this at Yahoo between
engineers and they probably figured to just let the users figure it out
because making the old cookies work might not be feasible.

I also checked this morning with the Android browser where the first
full message page had the order one way and the next page the opposite
including messages from the first page that shouldn't have been
displayed. By clicking the date order then all pages started to display
in that same order and no repeated messages. Going back later and
checking the settings stuck. Now they might mess with the cookies again
and break it but just click the sort order again. And BTW, this is
assuming you are looking at the messages with summaries as I am doing
which is what sounds like most folks here do.

So that's the way the "cookies crumble."

Keep in mind that there are multiple ways to receive and read FFL traffic
by email. I use Thunderbird to fetch my Gmail feed with Gmail's POP mail

There used to be an arrow on the upper right. When I clicked on it, I was taken
to page 2 of my inbox and so on. Then one day, there was no arrow! The only way
to get beyond page one was to scroll down. And then the jump occurred. The
person on yahoo help described in similarly. They were asking how to get back
to the previous paging process.

Wonder why nobody else here has mentioned it? Any ideas?

It's impossible to tell from your description what it
involves, but it sounds much more like a glitch of
some kind than an improvement. Unless it's your
description that's the problem, of course.

I may have figured out the web site bug. Apparently unless you have
recently set "Sort by Date" I think may be using some random value. Once
I would set the message flow then this flow was set on the next page
too. "Sort by Date" of course allows you the preference of viewing the
most newest message for that page at the top or the oldest message.
Given that Yahoo can't often keep the location for news and sometimes
weather straight (it may work for a week and then get messed up again)
the setting for the flow may not be robustly engineered.

Nope, that problem started recently and a friend mentioned that yahoo had

scroll down some more, the jump occurs, but I know where I left off looking.

But I don't have to read everything he writes do I? Nor he, everything
I write. It was almost as if there were people who were reading FFL
that were OCD about reading every message posted even if it diverged off
into a topic only a few people might be interested in. I couldn't figure
out what the hell they were complaining about.

There's a lot of stuff posted here I could care less about. There are
TB'ers here who obviously did not get "the goods" from TM but still
support it. I think MMY would even roll his eyes and say "if you didn't
get the goods, try something else." That's just common sense. There
seems to be a lot of seekers here but few finders.
