Well, keep in mind the pictures shown are proofs of concept, not finished art. Any "immaturity" you perceive is simply a result of the artists wanting to get ideas out for study, as opposed to polished backgrounds ready to go into the distribution as-is. I think the collage idea is interesting, but probably visually confusing in a distribution that's always had a very solid track record of unified visual themes. -- Paul W. My Opinion on the Proposed F11 Pics
I think that the pictures given are too childish and stray too much from what Fedora should be perceived as. In my opinion, the Fedora pictures/splash-screen should be a collage of all the past Fedora pictures/splash-screens to show its proud history and its long standing place in the Linux world. ___ Fedora-art-list mailing list Fedora-art-list@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-art-list
Background
Hi team, I was looking at the F11 Artwork page on the wiki: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F11_Artwork ...and wondering about (1) the group's progress in converging on a background, and (2) what needs to happen, and when, for the background to land in the F11 Beta. The F11 Beta freeze arrives on March 10th, and it would be good to have a background ready somewhat before that so there's time to tweak it before the freeze. As I understand it, once the desktop background is decided, that will form the basis for the other theme pieces for the Preview Release. Thoughts, comments? -- Paul W.
