Fedora 9 Update: postgresql-pgpool-II-2.2-1.fc9.1
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2009-2887 2009-03-23 15:15:30 Name: postgresql-pgpool-II Product : Fedora 9 Version : 2.2 Release : 1.fc9.1 URL : http://pgpool.projects.PostgreSQL.org Summary : Pgpool is a connection pooling/replication server for PostgreSQL Description : pgpool-II is a inherited project of pgpool (to classify from pgpool-II, it is sometimes called as pgpool-I). For those of you not familiar with pgpool-I, it is a multi-functional middle ware for PostgreSQL that features connection pooling, replication and load balancing functions. pgpool-I allows a user to connect at most two PostgreSQL servers for higher availability or for higher search performance compared to a single PostgreSQL server. pgpool-II, on the other hand, allows multiple PostgreSQL servers (DB nodes) to be connected, which enables queries to be executed simultaneously on all servers. In other words, it enables parallel query processing. Also, pgpool-II can be started as pgpool-I by changing configuration parameters. pgpool-II that is executed in pgpool-I mode enables multiple DB nodes to be connected, which was not possible in pgpool-I. Update Information: This version enhances SERIAL data type handling and on line recovery. Also an important bug, serializable transactions could cause data inconsistency among DB nodes, is fixed. Query cancelation, which never worked since pgpool-II was born, is finally fixed. Here are new features of pgpool-II 2.2:- With insert_lock, now a table is locked only if it has SERIAL datatype and now the default value for insert_lock is true(Tatsuo)- Start internal transaction other than INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE andSELECT to keep node consistency(Tatsuo)- Add client_idle_limit_in_recovery directive. This will prevent 2ndstage of on line recovery from not going forward by idle clients sitting forever(Tatsuo)- Add pid_file_name directive which specifies a path to the filecontaining pgpool process id. logdir is no more used(Tatsuo) - Allow to load balance DECLARE, FETCH and CLOSE(Tatsuo)- Add -d option to pcp commands(Jun Kuriyama) ChangeLog: * Mon Mar 23 2009 Devrim Gunduz dev...@commandprompt.com 2.2-1.1 - Fix pid file path in init script. - Fix spec file -- we don't use short_name macro in pgcore spec file. - Create pgpool pid file directory. - Fix stop/start routines, also improve init script a bit. - Install conf files to a new directory (/etc/pgpool-II), and get rid of sample conf files. * Sun Mar 1 2009 Devrim Gunduz dev...@commandprompt.com 2.2-1 - Update to 2.2 - Update URL * Thu Feb 26 2009 Fedora Release Engineering rel-...@lists.fedoraproject.org - 2.1-3 - Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_11_Mass_Rebuild * Thu Dec 4 2008 Michael Schwendt mschwe...@fedoraproject.org 2.1-2 - Include /usr/share/pgpool-II directory. * Tue Aug 12 2008 Devrim Gunduz dev...@commandprompt.com 2.1-1 - Update to 2.1 Gold - Set group of sample config files to root, not apache. Fedora 10 Update: keepassx-0.3.4-3.fc10
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2009-2672 2009-03-13 18:04:17 Name: keepassx Product : Fedora 10 Version : 0.3.4 Release : 3.fc10 URL : http://keepassx.sourceforge.net Summary : Cross-platform password manager Description : KeePassX is an application for people with extremly high demands on secure personal data management. KeePassX saves many different information e.g. user names, passwords, urls, attachemts and comments in one single database. For a better management user-defined titles and icons can be specified for each single entry. Furthermore the entries are sorted in groups, which are customizable as well. The integrated search function allows to search in a single group or the complete database. KeePassX offers a little utility for secure password generation. The password generator is very customizable, fast and easy to use. Especially someone who generates passwords frequently will appreciate this feature. The complete database is always encrypted either with AES (alias Rijndael) or Twofish encryption algorithm using a 256 bit key. Therefore the saved information can be considered as quite safe. KeePassX uses a database format that is compatible with KeePass Password Safe for MS Windows. Fedora 9 Update: git-1.6.0.6-3.fc9
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2009-2329 2009-03-04 15:51:48 Name: git Product : Fedora 9 Version : 1.6.0.6 Release : 3.fc9 URL : http://git-scm.com/ Summary : Core git tools Description : Git is a fast, scalable, distributed revision control system with an unusually rich command set that provides both high-level operations and full access to internals. The git rpm installs the core tools with minimal dependencies. To install all git packages, including tools for integrating with other SCMs, install the git-all meta-package. Update Information: This update to git-1.6.0.6 brings a number of improvements to git users. Numerous bugs have been fixed, both in the packaging and in the upstream release.Among the notable package changes, the default directory used by git-daemon has moved from /srv/git to /var/lib/git, in order to be consistent with current F10/F11 packages and Fedora's Packaging Guidelines. For full details on package changes, see the package changelog. For upstream changes, see the upstream release notes: http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.6.0.txt http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.6.0.1.txt http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.6.0.2.txt http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.6.0.3.txt http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.6.0.4.txt http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.6.0.5.txt http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.6.0.6.txtAn important difference from the upstream release notes is that these packages do *not* move the git-* commands out of PATH. Fedora 10 Update: renameutils-0.10.0-3.fc10
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2009-2898 2009-03-23 15:15:42 Name: renameutils Product : Fedora 10 Version : 0.10.0 Release : 3.fc10 URL : http://www.nongnu.org/renameutils Summary : A set of programs to make renaming and copying of files easier Description : The file renaming utilities (renameutils for short) are a set of programs designed to make renaming of files faster and less cumbersome. The file renaming utilities consists of five programs - qmv, qcp, imv, icp and deurlname. The qmv (quick move) program allows file names to be edited in a text editor. The names of all files in a directory are written to a text file, which is then edited by the user. The text file is read and parsed, and the changes are applied to the files. The qcp (quick cp) program works like qmv, but copies files instead of moving them. The imv (interactive move) program, is trivial but useful when you are too lazy to type (or even complete) the name of the file to rename twice. It allows a file name to be edited in the terminal using the GNU Readline library. icp copies files. The deurlname program removes URL encoded characters (such as %20 representing space) from file names. Some programs such as w3m tend to keep those characters encoded in saved files. This package contains the docs in HTML for the whole package, as well as command-line utilities for managing PostgreSQL databases on a PostgreSQL server. Fedora 9 Update: renameutils-0.10.0-3.fc9
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2009-2956 2009-03-23 15:16:58 Name: renameutils Product : Fedora 9 Version : 0.10.0 Release : 3.fc9 URL : http://www.nongnu.org/renameutils Summary : A set of programs to make renaming and copying of files easier Description : The file renaming utilities (renameutils for short) are a set of programs designed to make renaming of files faster and less cumbersome. Fedora 10 Update: postgresql-pgpool-II-2.2-1.fc10.1
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2009-2957 2009-03-23 15:16:58 Name: postgresql-pgpool-II Product : Fedora 10 Version : 2.2 Release : 1.fc10.1 URL : http://pgpool.projects.PostgreSQL.org Summary : Pgpool is a connection pooling/replication server for PostgreSQL Description : pgpool-II is a inherited project of pgpool (to classify from pgpool-II, it is sometimes called as pgpool-I). This update can be installed with the yum update program. Use su -c 'yum update postgresql-pgpool-II' at the command line.
