Re: [Audyssey] Mud games
hi Paula, I think you would do the exact same with the sounds in mush, as i dont have jaws or anything so its the only client i use. So just download said sounds, and place them in mush's sound directery. I hope it works for you. Sorry Paula, I shouldn've been clearer. In vipmud you download the soundpacks and put all the sounds from them in the sounds folder in vipmud's directory, then just type setsound in the game to turn them on. I'm afraid I don't know where you put them in mushclient, as the only game I've played with that program is alteraeon. Hopefully someone more familiar with mushclient than I am can let you know. Re: [Audyssey] mud games and topspeed
Sounds like window-eyes is reading text on the screen by itself. Typically, screen readers do not read the mt output window automatically. It could be that window-eyes is set to read all text rather than just highlighted text. I don't know very much about window-eyes, but I believe the command to change that setting has the letter s in it. It's something like insert+ctrl+s or something. It might also be that the mud to which you are connecting is highlighting stuff. I believe you mentioned you are working with Alter Aeon. It could be that you have color turned on on alter aeon and the mud is highlighting sertain strings of text and window-eyes is reading those highlighted strings automatically as they move around on the screen. If this is possibly the problem, you can type color and press enter. it should say Ansi color off. If it doesn't, type color a second time. It should say it this time. - Original Message - From: sal To: Gamers Discussion list Sent: Wednesday, September 09, 2009 10:04 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] mud games and topspeed it works but the problem I am having is that win eyes does not work as good with it like it use to. for instance, I am trying to head north, and it still repeats the same stuff up abov instead of going along with the input I put on here. hope you can understand what I am saying. thanks Sal - Original Message - From: "Valiant8086" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Wednesday, September 09, 2009 6:36 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] mud games and topspeed > hi. > try pressing ctrl+f2 repeatedly until you get Default speech output is now > sent to screen readers. that should fix it.
