Mark Crispin, the creator of UW IMAP, has passed away and there is no
active successor of his work. You will find copies of Panda IMAP on
different GitHub accounts. Some users uploaded Panda IMAP on GitHib after
Mark’s death.

I did know about Mark, but that doesn't explain why ftp.cac.washington.edu is 
gone.


I did find that the Greek mirror is up, so the files are available.


The one I was interested in is imap.tar.Z, which is available from Greece.


Panda could be interesting, but if I want TOPS-20, I use the one at LCM.


What I was actually interested in, is a program that will bulk download the 
whole mail file from an imap server.


Seems to me that should be easy to do with the iMAP toolkit, but also that 
someone else might have done it.

I wasn't actually trying to contact Alpine, but the link at the bottom of the 
IMAP page:

Seems to me that if UW doesn't have an ftp site anymore, then they should

change the web page not to indicate that they do.


Also, that the Contact us should actually contact someone.

I think the UW server stopped some time after Mark was laid off from UW.
Then he made a paid version of the toolkit that was named Panda IMAP.
