[JAWS-Users] Re: Jaws and ATI
Hi Walt and All First, I would like to say that the only reason I mentioned Zoomtext was that was one of the very few places which had any information whatsoever about the error. I do not have Zoomtext. As I have mentioned in previous messages, Dell supposedly updated both the sound card and the video card drivers which made no difference to the problem. Below is the technical information given in the error message. I still don't understand; if the tech person has the error message, it seems like they should know what the problem is. The error message is: *** STOP: 0x008E (0xC005, 0xBF04161, 0xF02F70CC, 0x) *** dcmc0d0.dll - Address BF04B161 base at BF043000, DateStamp 452d9de8 Marsha Anderson 731-285-8512 Munchie.Lady (Skype) --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list%40googlegroups.com/ Address to contact the management team: [EMAIL PROTECTED] You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JAWS Users List" group. [JAWS-Users] Re: Jaws and ATI
Hello! I have run Jaws & Zoom text simultaneously with out any problems,on the same Gateway PC since February 2004. The latest versions of both have always been the ones used. on 03:41 PM1/6/2007, Annette Carr said: Marsha, Are you using JAWS and ZoomText on the same machine, or even at the same time. There are some known conflicts with these 2 programs, which I don't remember the specifics about. All I do remember is that at work, the only solution we came up with was to be sure to run JAWS and ZoomText on separate machines. Even if they are not running simultaneously, they both need certain parameters set and thus don't play well together on the same turf. Are you running Zoomtext when this takes place? I have an ATI card in my Dell system and that driver (DCMD0C0.dll) is not on my system. There must be more to the message than simply that driver name--are you sure there isn't more being displayed? What version of JAWS are you using? My suggestion is to get the latest ATI drivers for your computer and install them, as I think I've said before. - Original Message - From: "Marsha" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Saturday, January 06, 2007 9:54 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and ATI Hi I don't want to keep beating a dead horse; however, I will try one more time. I've found some information on this subject but it is talking about the Nvidia card while I am talking about the ATI card. Zoom text says in some post, to delete the dcmc.0d0.dll file.
