I fully agree. Perhaps there were changes in the Freedb server which this program uses to get CD metadata automatically from the Internet, so in case you haven't do so, I suggest you to install the latest version of the program. Regarding where ripped files are saved, although by default files should be saved in standard Music folder, you can check it and eventually modify the path in Preferences. CDEX does take a little fiddling to configure it, but after that it works well. iTunes in my experience does find artists when all else fails. Hi Jim, If you have the Nero Package, no mater how old your version is, the ripping function in Nero Burning ROM is very accessible. If you're looking something open source, there's no better in terms of advanceness and accessibility than CDex.
