[plasmashell] [Bug 404461] New: Double-clicking a desktop icon does not work properly
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404461 Bug ID: 404461 Summary: Double-clicking a desktop icon does not work properly Product: plasmashell Version: 5.15.0 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: jsage...@verizon.net CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Changing plasma workspace global option click behavior to double-click to open files and folders will prevent shortcuts on the desktop from starting when double-clicked. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Close all open applications 2. Open "System Settings" and click on "Desktop Behavior" 3. Change "Click Behavior" to "Double-click to open files and folders (single click to select)" 4. Close the "System Settings" window. Make sure all applications are closed. 5. Click the kickoff button on left side of the taskbar to bring up the "Application Launcher" 6. Add an application to the desktop by right-clicking it and selecting "Add to Desktop" 7. Double-click the icon on the desktop to start the application. If it starts up, close it and then try double-clicking the same icon on the desktop again. OBSERVED RESULT 8. The application will not start. You can have several icons on the desktop and none of them will start when you double-click them. However, if you have an application open and then double-click on a desktop icon, that application will start up. If you close all applications and double-click the desktop icons, they will not open the application. EXPECTED RESULT After doing steps 1 through 6, any time you double-click an icon on the desktop it should open that application. Setting the "Click Behavior" in step 3 back to "Single-click to open files and folders" will allow launching applications from the desktop again with single clicks. Single-click action works fine. That cannot really be the problem here though, as that would show a dialog window with the error message "A KDE text-editor component could not be found. Please check your KDE installation. [krita] [Bug 404317] no CLI support for stdout export
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404317 --- Comment #4 from brainchild --- I agree that it is a wish. I just hope that given the high benefit and low difficulty, it is not a forgotten wish. You are making a painting application, and facilitating conversion to a standard exchange or display format facilitates distribution of the paintings that artists create with that painting application. A studio painter requires paint, paintbrushes, canvas, and other source materials, as well as packaging materials, to allow shipping out finished paintings, in order to be a successful painter. Writing a scaled PNG outfile file, without creating intermediary artifacts, makes it easier to build web pages, publications, applications, and other larger works for which Krita documents are among the source material, and such support makes Krita a more useful and prolific tool. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403121 --- Comment #4 from Nate Graham --- Idea: instead of using the first image from the image gallery, silently take a new picture at the moment the gallery is opened and use that as the basis for the effect previews. Kamoso then hangs. 1-2 seconds after that, the entire system becomes unresponsive. Mouse clicks and keyboard input are not accepted. A hard reboot is required! [KEXI] [Bug 404454] New: Tab fonts too small
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404454 Bug ID: 404454 Summary: Tab fonts too small Product: KEXI Version: 3.1.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Usability Assignee: kexi-b...@kde.org Reporter: allan.w.macdon...@gmail.com CC: a...@piggz.co.uk, in...@fables.co.za Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 118141 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118141&action=edit Screenshot showing the tiny text above the table data information. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1.Open a database project. 2.Click on a table in the left column of the project workspace. OBSERVED RESULT The centre region shows the contents of the selected table (i.e. "Data" mode). However, the tabs at the top of the table contents that say "Table", "Data", "Design", "Save Record", "Cancel Recent Changes", "Ascending", "Descending" & "Find" are so small, I needed to read them with a magnifying glass! The most recent Handbook downloaded from docs.kde.org don't look exactly like what I am seeing but I think the region I am describing is called the "Opened Database Objects Area" or something like that. EXPECTED RESULT The text in the tabs is big enough to read and/or there is a way to change the text size. [latte-dock] [Bug 404453] New: Delay when changing the window title
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404453 Bug ID: 404453 Summary: Delay when changing the window title Product: latte-dock Version: git (master) Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: rapiteanu.cata...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- NOTE: This is a Window Title Applet ticket (not Latte Dock). I don't think that the component has been added to the bug tracker. SUMMARY The Window Title Applet doesn't refresh the position fast enough when STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set Window Title inside a Latte-Panel between spacers 2. Set the Window Title to display maximum 1500 characters 3. Open 2 different applications (1 with a really long name, and 1 with a shorter one) 4. Switch between the 2 opened applications OBSERVED RESULT You can see that the title icon and name has changed, but the position (or the displayed characters hasn't). This refresh takes about 0.5 seconds before the applet adjusts itself to the new title. [plasmashell] [Bug 404425] .desktop file not showing on desktop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404425 David Edmundson changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOT A BUG --- Comment #3 from David Edmundson --- That doesn't have a TryExec line. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404450 --- Comment #2 from florian.rus...@gmail.com --- (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #1) > Why? Because it allows easier management of windows on multiple monitors with only one Panel, which includes one Task Manager per Monitor. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390890 David Edmundson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@davidedmundson.co.uk --- Comment #45 from David Edmundson --- There were two patches for this issue. The one above, which IMHO was testing random things, rather than understanding the root cause. And 6fcf9a5e03ba573fd0bfe30125f4c739b196a989 comes from my suggestion and makes more sense. 6fcf9a5e03ba573fd0bfe30125f4c739b196a989 is in 5.14.5.1 but not in 5.15.0 It will be in 5.15.1 Please check if you have that commit if you think the bug is unfixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
