I am 99% sure that I saved the file with bright red text, but apparently I uploaded one that contains near-black text... Anyways, when trying this again with the stable 18.08.1 AppImage, I cannot reproduce this bug. In fact, even when I tried to create a new minimal project with the refactoring release, I couldn't get the title to disappear. I think that I somehow screwed up when triaging this bug yesterday, sorry for that. It appears to me that this bug is now fixed, but it'd be great if @rh- could confirm this.
