Dear kivi,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95854] Insert comment shortcut doesn't let me edit existing comment

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

> The same shortcut should work for both inserting and editing comments, as it
> used to in 4.4 and below, and as it does in writer, so users dont have to

>
> https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/31449/
^^^ Actually this was a brilliant idea: We can show the same shortcut for two
different commands, if only we define the first one in a global scope, and the
second one in a module-specific scope (Calc in our case). It is true that the
module-specific command is the one that will be always executed by pressing the
shortcut, but this isn't a problem here, as both commands share the same
execution code. The only remaining problem is that the edit command is disabled
when a cell doesn't have a comment, and so can't be executed. But fortunately
this can be solved by some sdi magic, so the edit command remains visually
disabled, but still can be executed via the api (and thus by a keyboard
shortcut).

An updated attempt is in gerrit:

disabled, but still can be executed via the api (and thus by a keyboard
shortcut).

An updated attempt is in gerrit:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131296] Macro for copying data from protected cells and then selecting a different sheet no longer works.

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131296

Some additional testing shows that three different macros are not working.
Importantly (I suspect), each of the three involve a jump to another sheet.
The other six macros (that do not include a sheet jump), seem to be working
normally.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131286] macOS title bar not reflecting dark mode setting

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131286

Issue is not related to tdf#125532. Reason is tdf#122218:

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122218

Dark theme for UI elements is supported with macOS SDK 10.14 and higher only.
Due to blurry fonts on retina displays, SDK has been withdrawn to 10.13.

Furthermore there is no comprehensive dark theme implementation with SDK 10.14
too. There are only a few UI elements changed by the OS without support within
LO code base (like toolbar shown by the screenshots). From this point of view,
using light theme only is consistent as long as comprehensive dark theme
implementation is not done.

BTW: Solving the existing problems with SDK 10.14 and higher is a prerequisite
for implementing dark theme in the future.

The font size change is not related to the BTLR work.

It is possible to highlight all the content of this top left cell, then select
Table properties from the popup menu.
After that on the Text Flow page the Text orientation box is in indeterminate
state, but changing to Horizontal makes the text appear with "varying" font
size.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131257] after installing LibreOffice 6.3.5.2 a much older version shows up

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131257

Today I found out that there were tree types od starters in the startmenu of my
normal working account: One for LibreOffice 6.3 (libreoffice6.3 --writer %U),
another one for LibreOfficeDev 7.0 (libreofficedev7.0 --writer %U) and one more
for libreoffice (libreoffice --writer %U).

The file association for *.odt was for libreoffice, the one which identifies
itself as LibreOffice 6.0.7.3 00m0(Build:3).

Further I noticed, that F11 did no longer work with that version.

Since I could not delete the starter for that one, I hided it in the start menu
and I used Thunar to revert the file associations for *.odt to libreoffice6.3.

So the problem is mended (although I don't find out what went wrong). The only
thing that is left is: What must I do to get rid of the outdated LibreOffice
6.0.7.3 (which possibility is not even complete any more, as can be seen by not
being able to use F11 Manage styles any more.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131296] New: Macro for copying data from protected cells and then selecting a different sheet no longer works.

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131296

Bug ID: 131296
Summary: Macro for copying data from protected cells and then
selecting a different sheet no longer works.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: d.j.ba...@frontier.com

Description:
The macro copies specific data from protected cells in one sheet, and then
selects
a second sheet (changes focus) for pasting the data. This has worked well in
multiple earlier releases. In Alpha 7.0.0.0, the correct cells are not copied,
and the second sheet is not selected.
It seems the wrong cells are copied and then an attempt is made to past them
into the same sheet (not the one specified in the macro). This results in a
"Protected cells can not be modified." message.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the attached file.
2.Click the "Insert Time" macro button.
3.Click the "Insert Time" button again.
4.Click the "End of Day" macro button.
Focus should jump to Sheet2 and insert zero time values (since less than a
minute accrued).

Actual Results:
Focus does not change to Sheet2.
Wrong cells were copied and then an attempt was made to paste them into Sheet1
(wrong sheet)

Expected Results:
Focus should jump to Sheet2 and insert zero time values (since less than a
minute accrued).

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131295] New: Error while saving the table design

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131295

Bug ID: 131295
Summary: Error while saving the table design
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: damian.hofm...@gmx.ch

Error code: 1

firebird_sdbc error:
*unsuccessful metadata update
*ALTER TABLE test failed
*SQL error code = -607
*Invalid command
*Specified domain or source column SQL_INT64 does not exist
caused by
'ALTER TABLE "test" ADD "name" SQL_INT64'

Steps to reproduce:

1. in LO Base
2. create a table 'test' with an INTEGER column 'id' (primary key) and a
NUMERIC (sic) column 'name'
3. Save and exit the table designer
4. Open table again in the table designer
5. Change "Field Type" for 'name' from NUMERIC to VARCHAR
6. "Save"
7. Confirm "The column "name" could not be changed. Should the column instead
be deleted and the new format appended?"

Result:

The error above occurs. Note how the error massage says, that it tried to add a
column of type SQL_INT64, but VARCHAR was selected by the user for the new
column type.

Secondary finding: After the error, the column 'name' doesn't exist anymore. It
apparently has been dropped. AFAIK, Firebird supports transactional DDL.
Therefore, if an error occurs, I'd expect the database to be rolled back to
it's original state.

Tested with firebird. Not tested with HSQLDB.

Re: How do I get rid of this error? Macro file requires OpenOffice but I would like to use Libreoffice

2020-03-11 Thread Drew Jensen
Actually as I think about it.

Isn't one of the differences between AOO and LO that AOO creates a new calc
file with multiple sheets and LO creates a new calc file with only one
sheet.

I don't think you can remove that last sheet, so perhaps that is it. A test
should tell on that also.

Interesting.

Just did a search in the issue tracking system and there is an open issue
regarding RemoveByName, but in a different context.

Taking a quick look at that function and where it is called from it seems a
quick test using a copy of that function should be a fairly quick exercise.

Before I try that though, just to be sure; This basic module is embedded in
the Calc file, yes?

Thanks

Not able to test for at least a week, but am curious what this causes an error.

where it fails, it verifies is something by that name is there and then it
tries to remove it. If I was able to run a test I could check to make sure that
the method is exist, but the real question, is do you have write access to

1. Open Writer, new file
2. Create a text box or basic shape, add text.
3. Create a text box, add text, subscript it.
4. Check the Format menu (Subscript is checked correctly)
5. Double click in the normal text box
6. Check the Format menu
(DIFFERENT RESULT: Normal is checked)

7. Select subscripted text, and use Format menu to change it to superscript
8. Double click in the normal text box
9. Check the Format menu

So for me everything looks right with

Between this bug report and bug 80194, I think the complaints in this report
are solved.
1.) Defaults for subscript are sane - at 8%
2.) Automatic sizing is fixed for Textboxes, much closer to Writer's algorithm
3.) The "autofit text" misplacement of superscripts - which was the focus of
most of this bug report.

So marking as resolved (for LO 7.0). Please alert me if there is something in
this report that hasn't been addressed yet.

tdf#89849 editeng: adjust escapement before resetting Propr

THIS IS A LAYOUT REGRESSION FIX FOR SUBSCRIPTS/SUPERSCRIPTS.

The position of subscripts and superscripts is a percentage
based on the 100% fontsize. When LO 4.1 tricked the font
into thinking it was 100%, it failed to adjust the escapement
to be relative to the new fake size. In the default case,
this meant that the superscript was only raised about half
as much as it should have.

THIS CHANGE WILL AFFECT EXISTING DOCUMENTS WHERE THE
TEXTBOX IS SET TO "AUTOFIT THE TEXT". This will primarily
be Impress documents, since many of the templates enable
autofit text.

As a result of this bug, users creating new documents since
4.1 using autofit-text will have specified highly exaggerated
subscript/superscript positioning in order to look nice.
This fix will expose the exaggerated percentages and make the
document look poor. I don't know how that can be avoided.

Nor do I know how to create a unit test for a layout bug.
I guess QA's PDF compare tests will suffice for this. A
clearly exaggerated unit test is attached to the bug report.

The new ability to have a larger-than-100% escapement in
LO 6.3 comes in handy here, so that small superscripts can
gain a fake escapment big enough to put them in the proper
position.

android: Fix asset handling in build.gradle

... after commit 367431b6987b75e7a201499bfbd25a41c92a4a59
("tdf#126909 android: include icons into APK") had accidently
not only added the icon zip file to the 'assets/share/config' folder,
but also caused the assets mentioned below in build.gradle
to be copied there instead of the proper places, leading to
a crash when trying to access them.

(The problem did not show up in an incremental build, since "the
old copies" of the assets were still present where expected.)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131294] New: Slideshow gets stuck after 30 minutes when run from command line

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131294

Bug ID: 131294
Summary: Slideshow gets stuck after 30 minutes when run from
command line
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: ARM
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kumarmia...@gmail.com

Description:
Hi, I have a very simple 5 slide ODP file with 1 picture per slide. I run
Impress slideshow using the following command on a Raspberry Pi 3 and have been
running happily from the past 2 years using Rasbian Jessie OS running
LibreOffice version: 4.3.3.2.
libreoffice --norestore --show --nologo --invisible
'/home/pi/OnLine/playppt.odp'

However, on Rasbian Buster OS running LibreOffice version: 6.1.5.2, the
slideshow runs for about half hour to an hour and gets stuck at random slides.
If I press any key it will transition to another slide but this is a strange
behavior that wasn't present in previous version. Please help. Thanks.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a Rasbian Buster OS running LibreOffice version: 6.1.5.2
2. Run command: libreoffice --norestore --show --nologo --invisible
'/home/pi/OnLine/playppt.odp' (your odp file name)
3. Watch for about 30 minutes - 1 hour
4. Slideshow will be stuck at a point

Actual Results:
Slideshow will be stuck at a point after 30 minutes - 1 hour

Expected Results:
Slideshow should run indefinitely in a loop

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
It appears if you run the slideshow directly using the GUI (without the command
line), it seems to be running fine.

2020-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 131293
Summary: Feature Request: Optional light colored background
image of a lock for EACH ACTIVELY protected cell.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ee36...@gmail.com

Description:
It doesn't need to be exactly that, but any indicator would be nice. I would
like to be able to make part of the sheet constantly locked and quickly and
obviously know it is locked. This is intended for a constantly updated log
finance sheet. It would be terrible to accidentally edit historical data;
however, I would like to keep adding new data and quickly be able to protect
it. However, since I can't tell what is protected and unprotected just by
looking at the sheet, it is scary. Right now, I try to use the record feature,
but it still makes me nervous. I'm using the protection as a "read-only" sort
of feature.

I tried to use conditional formatting; however, I can only test against the
protect setting and not the mode. This means it can indicate cells are
"protected" if their "protect" setting is selected, but it ignores if the sheet
itself is NOT in protected mode. This means I can still edit cells that are
conditionally formatted as "protected".

This is not a required field.

cypress: fix failures caused by dirty test documents.

It seems sometimes writeFileSync() method does not
actually overwrites the document and some tests loads
a test document modified by an other test.
Hopefully removal of the file will solve this issue.

[Bug 116280] [META] Regressions introduced by the image handling refactoring

There will be a fix for one of these issues in LO 6.3.6/LO 6.4.2:
Bug 130793 - Basic Dialog does not import/export images

How do you think about to clarify the proposed functionality better?

> but can you illustrate your idea with an existing Add-On?

Probably not yet.

Thus I am looking for further software extensions.
