[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111932] EDITING: Inconsistent interaction between indentation and tabulation
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111932 Y changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|NEW Version|5.4.0.3 release |5.4.3.2 release --- Comment #3 from Y --- Dear Regina, Thanks for your comments. Re comment 1: Why is the indent behavior different for numbered paragraphs, and how is it different? Frankly, all I want is to set TAB STOPS -- it is irrelevant whether the paragraph is numbered, bulleted, or plain. Correct me if I am wrong: all types of paragraphs have three indents: (a) before text, (b) after text, and (c) first line; and then they can have zero or more tab stops. All I need is that they be treated consistently when there is a TAB character -- does not matter if that TAB character is the result of numbering, or if it is part of the body text. Either the Before text indent should be treated like a tab stop; or the user interface should allow to set a tab stop overlapping the before text mark. Re comment 2: What makes you think that the problem in bug 100383 is similar or even related to my problem? My problem has nothing to do with indent level, it is purely a tabulation problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114400 Bug ID: 114400 Summary: The draw:fontwork-xyz attributes from OOo1.0 are not supported by ODF but still written Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de Blocks: 108198 Created attachment 138353 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=138353&action=edit Text on path examples LibreOffice knows a "text on path" feature with several variants. They are written to file in attributes of type draw:fontwork-xyz. These attributes belong to OOo1.0, see dtd in share/dtd/officedocument/1.0/drawing.mod in your installation. But these attributes do not belong to ODF. I don't know, whether these attributes were simple forgotten or whether it was intended to not include them. This feature corresponds to the SVG element , only that has not so many variants. In the current situation LibreOffice would need to write the attributes in its own namespace. I would prefer to get the attributes into ODF. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114398] New: Calc, on reopen, messes up soft newlines pasted from RichText format
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114398 Bug ID: 114398 Summary: Calc, on reopen, messes up soft newlines pasted from RichText format Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: hjg.com...@gmail.com Description: When copying a multiline text inside a Cell in Calc, in edit mode, if the text is available in the Clipboard as Rich TExt Format and it contains soft newlines (Shift-Enter), then the newlines are correctly shown in Calc. but after closing and reopening they are lost, and the lines are all joined together (nor even a blank/space to separate them). See steps for detail. It might not a big deal that "importing" loses some formatting. But 1) this is more than formatting, 2) it looks very bad and unsettling that something looks ok when working with the document, and when you save and reopen you get something radically different. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a new Calc Spreadsheet . Enlarge the first cell, say to half the window width and height. 2. Open Windows Wordpad (or some editor that copies in RichTextFormat) (*) Type several lines separated not by hard end-of-paragraph newlines (Enter) but instead by soft line-breaks (Shift+Enter) (**) 3. Select those lines, copy to clipboard (Ctrl-C) 4. In Calc, focus in the big cell in edit mode (F2), and paste from the clipboard (Ctrl-V) 5. All should look basically ok (also if we switch to another cell, sheet, document, etc). Close Calc, saving the file. 6. Open the saved document. [*] I experienced this with a programmers text editor (EditPadPro) that, as a bonus, copies the text also as rich text format. [**] these in RTF correspond to \line commands Actual Results: Result: all newlines are gone. They are not even replaced by spaces, the original lines are joined together (a mess). Expected Results: Lines should be lines. As were shown originally when copied inside Calc. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.84 Safari/537.36 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78254] Substantial performance deterioration by scroll through cells via macro in LibreOffice Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78254 Shane changed: What|Removed |Added CC||sh...@graduate.uwa.edu.au --- Comment #15 from Shane --- I challenge whether this is truly of low importance and minor significance. Perhaps it is because not too many people use complex macros? But for people using any significant macros this represents a substantial obstacle to moving to LibreOffice. In my case I am trying to move to LibreOffice from OpenOffice but it has made some of my automation unviable. If MS Office performance figures are so many orders of magnitude better then one can only imagine it could also present a major hurdle to uptake of LibreOffice for some MS Office users too. If we know that a flood of GetOptimalHeightsInColumn calls seem to be the culprit here is there any kind of workaround to improve scrolling speed in a macro? I have tried ThisComponent.LockControllers ThisComponent.addActionLock() and ThisComponent.CurrentController.Frame.ContainerWindow.setEnable(False) and, without timing anything too accurately, none of these seem to have improved performance of my macro at all - it always takes an unacceptably long time in LibreOffice 5.4.3.2 compared to the same code running in OpenOffice 4.1.3 (which isn't fast but is tolerable)... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Especially when using both at the same time, seemingly, they like to get hung up and crash. Sending an error report failed, I think (the program crashed yet again). I am piecing together a presentation with a lot of pictures etc. Most of it works great, and I already updated to the newest version (before reinstall, after uninstalling the older version, I deleted the remaining stuff from AppData). This is quite a expensive thing to do as you need to inspect the properties of individual cells. The calculation ideally needs to be done only once per printing request, but because of the rendering UNO API, this was done everytime ScPrintFunc was instantiated, which is for every page twice (once getRenderer is called and then when render is called). To fix this performance issue, the print page ranges need to be carried from one call to ScPrintFunc to the other. There already is a print state (ScPrintState) which is used for exactly that, but it didn't do this for print page ranges. With this, PDF export time in a test case decreased from 17 sec to around 3 sec.
