[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117594] Latest 6.0.4 won't install in .deb
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117594 --- Comment #1 from Adolfo Jayme --- Well, apparently you had some .deb file for Google Earth lying around that got installed when you ran “dpkg -i *.deb”. As you can see, the “*” in the command is a wildcard, so it’ll match any filename in the directory where you ran the command, as long as it ends in “.deb”. Ensure, before you run dpkg, that your terminal is in the correct directory. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

No problem with value from 0 to 255. If I trying to insert value outside of 0 to 255. L0-base will block you with error message. But if I trying to reopen this table when there is a row with value from 128 to 255, the table will fail to load with the following error message : " The data content could not be loaded. '234' in column '1' is outside valid range for the datatype TINYINT." This only happened when this column is set as UNSINGED and PRIMARY KEY. This is my very first comment in Bugzilla. This example demonstrates the underlying problem which is independent of commit 18cbb8fe699131a234355e1d00fa917fede6ac46: the letters in the fields are smaller in LibreOffice than in Word, with or without that commit. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117501] FILEOPEN: DOCX: Incorrect field character style
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117501 --- Comment #4 from Luke Deller --- Thanks you for finding this with your office-interoperability-tools work Xisco! I think the underlying issue in attachment 90710 existed prior to commit 18cbb8fe699131a234355e1d00fa917fede6ac46. This is about an old equation editing feature in Word described here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/murrays/2018/01/23/microsoft-word-eq-field/ This example document uses such an "equation" to draw a superscript "x " superimposed upon a subscript " a". While LibreOffice does not in general handle this old equation syntax, it does have a special case which can handle this example. It imports it as a "Combine characters" field, a field intended for use with Asian languaes where several character are arranged in a grid occupying the space of a single character. This handling existed in the ww8(doc) filter inherited from StarOffice at the beginning of our git history, and it was reused in the docx import for bug 66400 in commit 5342cd7533a51fd488de85565674ee01649ddcbc The problem is that a "Combine characters" field containing 4 characters will show each character at half of its normal height/width (quarter of the area). However the Word equation does not reduce the size of the letters at all. This problem was hidden in the example here, because there was direct formatting placed upon the text prior to the field to double the font size. This direct formatting was *not* applied to the field itself in Word, however due to bug tdf#107035 this direct formatting was wrongly applied to the field in LibreOffice. This resulted in the field's font size being doubled, which exactly compensated for the problem I described in the previous paragraph. Now that tdf#107035 is fixed, the problem in the equation import is no longer hidden. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117578] impossible to open some files, reported as "non existent"
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117578 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- What you describe is not a bug, but user error. You seem to have worked with *temporary* files created by an external program (e.g., by double-clicking an attachment in a message, editing the opened file, and saving in-place). The place where that external application places its temporary files might be cleared by that application without notice. The crash you describe might well be caused by such cleanup happening when you worked with such temporary file (e.g., that app could erase a lockfile, which was not possible with 4.x and some 5.x versions). You should have cared to save your important data to a place where it is safe (e.f., to My Documents folder). LibreOffice indeed keeps track of files which you have lately worked with (i.e., it remembers where they were), but if they are not there, it doesn't have in-built magic to make them appear. I highly doubt that there's something you can do now with the absent files. Even file recovery utilities would be useless in case of a system disk (where all system IO takes place constantly), after you have rebooted the system several times. Anyway, your issue is not a proper bug report/feature request, which are only on-topics on this site. Closing RESOLVED INVALID. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117578 Bug ID: 117578 Summary: impossible to open some files, reported as "non existent" Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4 all versions Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: fre.hm...@gmail.com Description: yesterday the app crashed and did not open for a very long time. i had to switch on and off the device twice in order to make it work properly. however, since this morning, some of my most important files do not open when i click on the icon in the folder "recent files". the individual icons of the single files appear only among the recently opened documents, but is no longer among the saved ones. I request immediate assistance as those files are crucial for upcoming exams and are impossible to re-write ex novo. Steps to Reproduce: 1. click on the icon of a specific file that I've been writing on for months now 2. wait for the file to open with all of the last modifications where they should be Actual Results: the file does not open, and after a few minutes a notice appears telling that "C:\Users\francesca\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Files\S0\618\INGLESE PENTAMESTRE.odt non esiste.", which means, translated into english, that the file does not exist. Expected Results: the file opens and I am able to go on writing without issues Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: the files i am not able to open without getting the above notice are the most recently opened ones, as i had been writing on them until yesterday morning. again, i insist to receive immediate help because those documents are considerably important and I have been wotking on them for months. moreover, i cannot pass the upcoming exams without them.
