Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice

Dear rodhos92,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Unchecking "Use Skia for all rendering" seems to make it dither faster.
If I right click on the LibreOffice Writer icon on the Windows toolbar and open
another document from the previously opened documents list, I can interrupt the
dithering (Jumping of the divider between the main window and the
properties/styles/gallery... When it is dithering I cannot gain control of any
of the open documents including LibreOffice Calc. Opening a new LibreOffice
Calc from the Calc Icon on the Windows 10 toolbar from the previously open
documents will also interrupt the dithering.

2021-10-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145213

Bug ID: 145213
Summary: Table Of Linked images getting displayed corrupted
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: col...@nxtgn.com

I have documents stored as a .docx documents, they were created by Libre
Office.

The documents have a table of 3 colums by 4 rows, this is the template for a
sheet of labels. This is used to print out sheets of postage labels.

In many fields in the table there is a link to an image which fills that field,
by changing the images and opening the document I can generate a new sheet of
address labels.

This works fine in Libre Office Writer in release 7.0.6 in release 7.1.6
opening the same document the contents of tables are displaying corrupted, the
images are not in the right fields, they are stacked up in one or two fields or
in completely the wrong field.

I removed Libre Office 7.1.6 and reinstalled 7.0.6 and this works fine again. I
would rather not have to recreate the documents for 7.1.6 as there are 120
documents with up to 10 image links in each one.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145212] New: Base, Form, Combobox element retains wrong data after a multiple violation of foreign key constraint

2021-10-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145212

Bug ID: 145212
Summary: Base, Form, Combobox element retains wrong data after
a multiple violation of foreign key constraint
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.6.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: intmai...@gmail.com

Description:
The Combobox element retains wrong data which not exists in the foreign key
constraint.
An user may be troubled to choose the right data after making many mistakes (he
did or others did). The combobox should display only data in foreign key
constraint and forget inappropriate data.

Steps to Reproduce:
1- Create a Push Button element to save the updated line. Properties is "Action
... Refresh form"
2- The form properties is set to always point to a fixed line of the table
(this is my case). Set "Filter" to do this.
3- Create a combobox , set "Type of list contents ... SQL" then set "List
content ..."
4- From keyboard, insert many wrong data followed each time by pushing the Push
button --> error message box appears each time because of foreign key
violation.
5- Check the combobox by dropdown it --> all wrong data remains in it
6- Close the form , re open the form --> wrong data disappears from the
combobox

Actual Results:
Inappropriate data remains (not permanently) in the combobox

Expected Results:
Display only data according to foreign key constraint

Reproducible: Always

Curious is, that if you copy a registration.xcu from an old installation to the

(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #3)

> 5.3.0

Well I tested 5.3.0.3 with old and new layout engine.. it's fine with OLD but
present with the NEW layout engine..

So the new engine might uncovered pre-existing bug (or made it more prominent)

No clue if the 'quote' glyph being some way different processed compared to
other symbols.

The highlighting text parts causing shifts is more common problem. I blamed it
on 'RSID' at bug 140161 (see also the see also there). Except the quotation
marks being affected since 5.3.0 (and pretty easy to reproduce)

Deleting the 'l' causing spacing the change is bit surprising to me. Normally
it starts with 'font color/highlighting'

But the whole text rendering is beyond my understanding (glyphs/ text portions,
RSID)

Mike Kaganski changed:

   What|Removed |Added

Version|7.2.2.2 release |Inherited From OOo

I can only say that at least for me, it crashes at the *second* press of TAB
(i.e., the first TAB moves selection from the green rectangle to the Lorem
ipsum box, and the second generates segfault).
Same crash with LO 3.3.0, and with OOo 2.4.3.

If you open the file in read-only mode, it switches successfully in loop: green
rectangle -> Lorem ipsum box -> black arrow in front of the green rectangle ->
green rectangle again ...

Interestingly, OOo 2.2.0 doesn't crash, but instead of moving from Lorem ipsum
to arrow, it adds rows to the table "Table30".

Applying a highlight splits the text run, applying a new text format including
the highlight. If you select the entire run of single quote glyphs and apply
highlight there is no shift as the text span is intact.

Frankly, I don't think this has anything to do with the HarfBuzz refactor at
5.3.0

reliably). created fresh users for this. i'm puzzled.
as this is not really bugging me, i will retract it. i thought, there is more

Seems the table isn't only hidden. It has been pushed somewhere else and
doesn't exist for the code "hasByName"

When I have a look with xray:
The tables should be read from oDatabaseDocument.Datasource.Tables.ElementNames
or oDatabaseDocument.Datasource.Tables.hasByName

Seems it is looking also at DatasSource.TableFilter, which will show the names
of the tables, which aren't hidden.

I think that implementing individual tracking toggles for bug 145132 could
provide a solution for what is being asked for here (though not as a single
button). These have already been implemented for outlines, tables, and
sections. I think that a persistent toggle setting for each category is
probably a better solution overall than a single button that enables/disables
tracking for all categories at the same time. Tracking may be wanted for one
category and not the others.

The Navigation toolbar (and corresponding backward/forward controls on the
Navigator in 'Recency' mode) are a special multi-reference movement (as
implemented for GSOC 2009 and brought in for bug 32869, and reworked as
described in bug 115817).

Still open against Navigation TB (navmgr) are
bug 54412 is open for cross-reference
bug 74604 is open for hyperlinks

both of which are at issue here.

But neither Navigation (navmgr) nor Navigator (in Recency mode) work
consistently for a multi-window editing that many workflows would need.

An issue of supporting navigation when working with split-windows/multi-windows
is a valid enhancement.

Jump by hyperlink and use Navigation bar to get back

This is really about Bug 115817, but since you transferred the discussion to
this place:

It certainly does not work for me. Please look at the video enclosed here to
verify:

I click an internal hyperlink: I jump to the target.
I click the < arrow of the Navigation bar: I am taken to some unpredictable
place.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145208] New: FORMATTING Color Scale working in .xlsx but doesn't in .ods files

2021-10-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145208

Bug ID: 145208
Summary: FORMATTING Color Scale working in .xlsx but doesn't in
.ods files
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jnkdt...@grr.la

Description:
Background color (set with relative value) isn't proper displayed when saving
as OpenDocument (.ods) but it works as expected in Office Open XML (.xlsx)
file.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert a random Numeric value (e.g. 100) in a random cell (e.g. A1)
2. Select a second random cell (e.g. B1) and go Format > Conditional > Color
Scale...
3. Set Color Scale (2 Entries). Minimum (Value) 0, Maximum (Formula) as follow:
=INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),COLUMN()-1))
4. Insert a Numeric value from 0 to 100 in second cell (B1).
5. Create (save as) two separate files: one as .ods and another one as .xlsx
6. Close LibreOffice Calc and then re-open each file.

Actual Results:
Background cell (B1) is going to change from first picked color to second one
in .xlsx.

Same background cell (B1) will be blank in .ods file (only works again if you
re-open Conditional Formating window, but if you close and re-open LibreOffice,
background cell color is going to be blank again)

Expected Results:
.ods should work as .xlsx does

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
.xlsx works perfect.
.ods doesn't works.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 145206] New: numbering paragraphs resets after pasting table

2021-10-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145206

Bug ID: 145206
Summary: numbering paragraphs resets after pasting table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: m...@ludshottcomputing.com

Created attachment 175818
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=175818=edit
example doc in which to paste a table from another doc

1. I have a document with some paragraphs numbered using the auto incrementing.
2. I create a new blank document and create an empty table.
3. I select the table and copy it to the clipboard.
4. I paste this table into the original document between any of the numbered
paragraphs. It resets the numbering sequence which now starts again after the
table at the number 1.

If I simply insert a new table from within the original numbered para doc then
the numbering sequence is not changed. This is the expected behaviour.

I've attached an example (paranumberingtest.odt) in which to paste an empty
table.
