[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154724] Ruby splits word with no user control
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154724 --- Comment #1 from Seán Ó Séaghdha --- When trying to add Ruby text to a phonetic transcription, the word (as selected) is broken up into individual letters and diacritics, making it impossible to actually add the text. The word I was trying to add text to is a transcription of a reconstructed Proto-Indo-European word for horse: *h₁ek̑u̯os. In the Ruby dialog this is split into these separate words: * | h | ₁ | ek | ̑ | u | ̑ | os. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154722 Bug ID: 154722 Summary: Break of line between pages in spite of have spaces in previous page Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.6.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: hudson...@gmail.com Description: When it is typed in LibreOffice Writer, space in the end of the page stays in blank if the paragraph doesn't continue in the next page, even though having space in the previous page. Put in another way: If the paragraph doesn't fit in the previous page, or if the paragraph doesn't continue in the next page, the problem happens: all the paragraph is moved to the next page, and space is dropped in the previous page. Oddly, the problem is fixed if the user augments the size of the base of the page in the menu "Page Style" -> Page -> Size below, and so, undoes it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Fill the page, until advance to next page. 2. Configure the last paragraph in the first page, before to jump to next page, so that it doesn't fit in the first page. 3. The problem happens if the paragraph doesn't continue in the next page, but doesn't fit in the first page. Sometimes the problem happens, sometimes don't. Actual Results: Sometimes, the paragraph is entirely moved to the next page, sometimes it stays correctly in both pages. Expected Results: The paragraph should fill all the previous page, and not leave blank space empty. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: None. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154718] New: LibreOffice theme impacts menu color
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154718 Bug ID: 154718 Summary: LibreOffice theme impacts menu color Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.5.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: robprent...@fcconnexion.net Description: I am using LibreOffice on EndeavourOS Linux with an Xfce desktop. When selecting Tools->Options->Personalization, and then selecting a theme, the theme color is allowed to override the window's menubar background. But the menubar text and background colors are set by the desktop style setting. This override often makes the menubar illegible. Expected behavior is to limit the theme to impacting only window content beneath the menubar. For example: any desktop style using a dark menubar background, like Simply Circles Blue Light, cannot work with the LibreOffice Sand theme. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open LibreOffice 2. Select Tools->Options->Personalization, and pick any theme 3. Hit Apply The color of the theme has been applied to the menubar background. Actual Results: The color of the theme has been applied to the menubar background. Expected Results: The theme should change the app's GUI background color without impacting the window's menubar background color. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 50(Build:2) CPU threads: 20; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US 7.5.2-1 Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 154717] New: Drop one note and revise the other in the "Refer using" section of Cross-references
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154717 Bug ID: 154717 Summary: Drop one note and revise the other in the "Refer using" section of Cross-references Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.2.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Documentation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sdc.bla...@youmail.dk CC: olivier.hal...@libreoffice.org In Feb 2008, "Headings" and "Numbered Paragraphs" were added as types to the "Cross-references" help page [1], along with the formats "Number", "Number (no context)", and "Number (full context)". https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/help/source/text/swriter/01/04090002.xhp?r=2f5820d7 At the same time two paragraphs, which later became "notes" appear under the "Refer using" table. Proposed changes. 1. Drop the first note. It repeats more or less what appears in the "Refer using" table for "Number". It looks like original committer copied the first note into table and forgot to delete the paragraph (that is the first note). If that note is deleted, then it would make more sense to refer to the (second) "note" under the table. 2. The second note needs improvement. For example: a. "sublevels" refers to a setting in Tools - Heading Numbering. This should be specified explicitly b. note should make it clear that it is about "Number", Number (no context) and Number (full context), and Chapter formats. c. Maybe do not need the example with 1.2.5. Can say more directly and generally, "the number of sublevels shown depends on the "show sublevels" setting in Tools - Heading Numbering." 3. In the "Selection" section, delete: In the Refer using list, click the format that you want to use. - because it repeats the same information that appears in the paragraph immediately before and the paragraph immediately after.
