The issue could be reproduced on the libreoffice-fresh package of Arch linux:
Version: 7.2.0.4 / LibreOffice CommunityBuild ID: 20(Build:4)
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.14; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: ja-JP (ja_JP.UTF-8); UI: en-US
7.2.0-2
Calc: threaded

In my examination, it could be reproduced not only a file saved as ods format
but also one as fods .

The steps for my examination are as follows:
1. Open a new calc file
2. Go to Format -> Page Style -> Header
3. Check "Header on"
4. Enter 1.6 cm in "Height"
5. Go to Footer tab
6. Check "Footer on"
7. Enter 1.6 cm in "Height"
8. Click "OK" in the Page Style dialog
9. Enter something in A1 cell
10. Save the file with .fods format
11. Close the file
12. Reopen the saved file

Expected Results: "Header on" and "Footer on" are checked and both height is
1.6 cm.

Actual Results: "Header on" and "Footer on" are unchecked and both height is
the default value; 0.50 cm.

The attachment is the saved file. If you open it using a text editor, you will
find those following lines:

I suppose that this issue occurs when a file is opened rather than a file is
saved.

But confusingly ...
It did not reproduce in 7.1.6 on my environment.

I don't know but is it because of the different version of the graphic

I think the problem is that LO does not seem to support Mac native fullscreen.
(It just maximised window) So switching to other apps using keyboard shortcuts
does not work as expected.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 138394] FIREBIRD: truncated CLOB data

2021-09-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138394

I tested with a query using a LIST statement; and running it to concatenate
2 values 6 characters with 2-char separator each gives a CLOB larger than
15 characters (VARCHAR limit is 32K in FB). Copying the query, and pasting
into Writer produces the full non-truncated data in 7.2.1.2.

It is difficult to do anything here without repro steps. A database, maybe with
macros that generate the export; or clear method that produces the problem is
required.

The problem could even be in an export filter (CSV), not in CLOB handling.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.2.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Description:
It's a regression, works with i.e. 7.2.0.4.
You click the "font color" toolbar and try to pick a color like i.e. green or
yellow, does not work, it you type the text color remains the same.
If you instead choose the toolbar default "dark red 2" then it works, but you
can't go to any other color (i.e. go back to black / automatic).
You can't change color also with Format -> Character -> [Font effects] and Font
color property.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a new writer document
2. write something (blabla bla bla blablabla)
3. select it and drop down the color selection using the "Font color" toolbar
4. try to select a color different than "dark red 2", document text color does
not change

Actual Results:
text remains of the same color or changes to "dark red 2"

Expected Results:
text should change color

Additional Info:
I've tested also in a Kubuntu 21.10 VM. It had LiBo 7.2.0.4 and everything was

I'm sorry that the testing was delayed, but I found that this issue has been
resolved in recent nightly builds since
"/daily/master/Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF/2021-09-01_07.44.32/".

Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community

CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: ja-JP (ja_JP); UI: ja-JP
Calc: CL

UI rendering has some trouble, but LO launches smoothly.
The latest confirmed one is
"/daily/master/Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF/2021-09-12_05.43.05/".

As reference information.
Nightly builds released from 2021-08-29 to 2021-08-31 behaved differently than
those on 2021-08-25.
(The ones released from 2021-08-26 to 2021-08-28 are not available and have not
been tried.)
They show no reaction immediately after the first launch (although a user
profile is created) and when I try to launch it again it launches smoothly in
Skia / Raster.
The comment 16 report may have said this.

Pasted bullet Points

I typed a phrase then pasted what was originally bullet points taken from a web
page.
It arrived (was pasted) as a continuous line of text, the bullets bing replaced
by space. I separated the bulleted items by inserting a comma, leaving as a
continuous line of text. When I left the cell, it appeared to not respond to
left justification, so on entering the cell I found it had re-arranged the text
into bulleted formation, without bullet symbols.

Examples of other behaviour will be added when I encounter them and remember
that I have made this so called error report.

While distributing the height of selected rows evenly , it uses the highest
column's Height, and extend the table height. Instead it should distribute the
number of rows evenly with in the table height.

Simpler terms: Table height should not grow while distributing rows evenly.
This function works good with distributing columns evenly. The width is not
extending, and distributes with in the table's width.

Thank you

No distributed table row height was resolved as WF in work on bug 64242

Also this is a meta, should open a new enhancement request for handling
distributed table row height--but which would likely be duped back to 64242

I don't know what's going on... but I've found that Bug 143152 has been
resolved in a recent nightly build (in my environment).

By the way, this problem in 7.2.1 is not reproduced in my environment.

Version: 7.2.1.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 3cfc32d9754d2d239bd8ce2941029c12873010c1

Locale: ja-JP (ja_JP); UI: ja-JP
Calc: CL

The same is true for 7.2.1.2.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143268] Slow response in document with many tables after Table tree is expanded in Navigator

2021-09-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143268

AFAICT this slow behavior has always existed. It is caused by the way table
names are inserted into the Navigator content tree. Please see
sw/source/uibase/utlui/content.cxx SwContentType::FillMemberList case
ContentTypeId::TABLE code block.

Refilling the table member list only when the number of tables change will not
update the list when a table is renamed or it's visibility changes.

An improvement in response can be seen if the second argument to
SwEditShell::GetTableFrameFormat is changed from true to false in the member
loop.

GetTableFrameFormat const SwFrameFormat& rTableFormat =
m_pWrtShell->GetTableFrameFormat(i, false);

Renaming a Table using the Rename object: dialog also shows this slowness when
the document has a large number of tables.

Status: UNCONFIRMED

This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is
br-f5f84f10-4f3a-4aee-95eb-e3cdff834037.
=
I was modifying a Label template and when I attempted to print to a file, the
application crashed.
I opened the template.
I changed a line of print in the label
I selected synchronize labels
I selected PRINT to FILE, selected a limited number of entries to fill one page
The application disappeared from my screen.
When I attempted to re-open the file, I received the crash report notification.

I have had several crashes creating labels since updating to 7.2.0.4 but did
not keep track of the process that created the crash.

And at some point in the process of creating a database using a spreadsheet and
a labels I checked a box to suppress lines with blank fields but that does not
happen.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141917] Unwanted spaces added between footnote number (at bottom of page) and text of footnote

2021-09-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141917

I would gladly send you a document showing the added spaces but when I clicked
"Add an attachment" above, I saw the warning "your e-mail address and other
personal data contained in your bug report, will be publicly available and
cannot be deleted."

Please therefore send me an email address to which I can send an attachment
without my personal information being shown.

This additional information may be of help:

1. My custom is to manually insert one space between the number of the footnote
(in the footnote) and the first character of the footnote because if I do not,
the printed version comes out with no space at all between that number and the
first character, which does not look right.

Might, therefore, my adding one space manually trigger the continual adding of
spaces?

2. When I use the delete key to remove the unwanted spaces, each hit of the key
removes as many spaces as I have set my tab for.

3. The farther back in time I last opened the document, the longer the blank
space. Which is to say, the unwanted spaces accumulate even when the document
has been unopened.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
