Public bug reported: When adding a Group page to the watchlist of a group member the member doesn't seem to get notification through the internal inbox (and email) when the page is changed. I tried on myportfolio.school.nz v1.6.3 and tried to recreate on demo.mahara.org . When I created a group page on demo.mahara.org the URL for the page is incorrect http://demo.mahara.org/group//untitled . Logged in as staff and using Request Membership group. I can't test this for the watchlist but seems to be another bug? Hi Melissa I found what you were meaning there is staff statistics access setting that isn't turned on. Hi Melissa The member has institution staff access. How do you check if institution staff access to stats is setup I can't see a site setting on the menu for this. Public bug reported: I tried changing the group administrator for a group where the site admin had left the school (using v1.5 myportfolio.school.nz) As site administrator I was able to do this though site administration menu - groups > members and changing the administrator and saving but this didn't actaully change the group admin. To do this I need to login as the user and do this. MP4 files don't play in Flowplayer unless they are h264 format - when I convert the MP4 to this form the file is not recognised as a valid media file. The other problem is the MP4 file when inserted as an embeddded clock in a page in Interenet Explorer the block can not be editted. This happens in myportfolio.school.nz tried in demo.mahara.org but file was too large to upload. The reason is users do not often use the export option to backup their eporfolios. If something goes wrong with an individual eportfolio it is very difficult to recover an individual users portfolio without the export option to back up their portfolio being used. It might even be good ides to have a graphic of a disk and the words backup. The situation this is required for is for students portfolio work that has been submitted and feedback provided by a learning provider to be judged by external parties. Add and Delete Buttons: ALT text just says 'add' or 'delete' When there are many 'adds' and 'deletes' on a page it is not obvious which resource you are adding or deleting. Creating a View; The student can create a view, but from that point on cannot make any use of drag and drop - partly because the student does not use a mouse and partly because there is no indication where anything has been dropped. Suggested use of radio buttons - process would be pick an artefact > pick a location to put it. It is possible that some or all of the above can be wrapped up into a single 'screenreader' or accessibilty' editing mode with toggle link in the header somewhere. I also note that there are some workarounds that could potentially be adapted from discussions around ie6 versions or ipad versions. Roadmap could also do with some structure and collation so information can be easily seen when new 1.5 roadmap specification items are added under a separate section. It might be a good idea to try and avoid having wishlist items there anyway and keep those discussions on forums and here in launchpad before moving to the wiki as official design specifications/roadmap when ready. default - content from the user's institutes.
There is an institute view that is able to be created - the dashboard
would be a good place to include this view - it doesn't seem to be used

When editing a grouphomepage or a dashboard view type, you can set the theme
for the view, but when viewing the group/homepage, the theme isn't used.
Options are:
a) Don't allow them to choose the theme; or
b) Have the relevant pages respect themes.
Option a is obviously pretty easy by modifying view/blocks.php to only assign
viewthemes if the view isn't in array('grouphomepage', 'dashboard'),
Option b may be preferable long term.

Hi Kristina I agree there should be a warning on what actions deleting a view will have. Maybe the advice should be a question like - Would you like to backup this view to retain any your feedback ? If the answer is Yes then go to the export menu, If No then carry on deleting. The icon for deleting is a X which usually means close the window - is it possible to replace with a rubbish bin icon - also use this icon for the delete collection menu. A related issue is on the delete collection menu the default for confirmation of deletion is Yes - this would be better to be No or nothing so someone deosn't accidentally press the Enter when trying to esacape the delete menu. I would like to be able to search by firstname and/or surname , this would limit the results especially if searching for common names like John. Public bug reported: Currently there is a block on the home page showing the users that have come online in the last 10 minutes. The problems with this. The list can be quite large and if your mahara site is running several institutions then users from other instituions will show as well. Someone could be logged in for more than 10 minutes and they won't show. It would be better to only show online users who are connected in some way to the user - eg friends or in a group they are a member of.
