It travels between the turnaround known as Millennium Park and the small Patch of greenery (near the standing clock) just south of there. A very interesting and unusual looking bird. However, I would not call this leucistic as there are no areas that show a complete lack of pigment. This is clearly what is technically known as a dilution. It is caused by one or a number of genes that deposit melanin in a lower than normal concentration. The small Canada/Cackling Goose that I first reported on the Central Park (NY Co.) Reservoir on February 12th was still present today. In addition, also today, was a second similarly sized goose. This second bird, however, is not as dark as the other one, but is similar in color to the larger Canada's. It also called. The call was noticeably different and to my ear higher pitched.
