You are right, it should be "nosetests3". In fact, we need to start 
looking at nose2 anyway.

At the moment test/README.txt says that the command for running tests is
nosetests, while Development Wiki says about nosetests3. The latter works
for me and is intuitively true, so it's definitely an error. Obviously a
small one, but I volunteer to fix it. As it is going to be my first fix in
the project, I'll use it as an opportunity to get into development process
as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.
