There is not much in it, except for a few strange errors, which I had not noticed before. I did a manual restart (second but last line), so THAT is not out of the ordinary. pinkdot wrote: > > Why did you choose the updated packages and not the LmsRepack > repository? The Synology package seemed easier and sufficient for my needs (just MP3s and internetradio with the occassional (MP3-)stream via UPnP). Probably could have survived on the 7.7 branch, but upgraded out of curiosity and maybe try out multi-library sometime and be prepared if mysb.com shuts down sometime in the future. But as I said: let me know if you would like me to test something. pinkdot wrote: > > LmsRepack will give you the notification you want. Ha Martin, sorry for the delay, but LogitechMediaServer-88f628x-7.9.0-061.0005.spk is working fine on my DS 212+. Or at least it is playing an MP3 and a radio stream well on my Squeezebox Radio, which is all I tested so far. The daily scan of my library went also well. Info: Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1443165052 @ Sat Sep 26 04:19:53 UTC 2015 Operating system: Synology DiskStation (DSM Package Management) - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: unknown Perl Version: 5.18.4 - armle-linux Audio::Scan: 0.95 Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) Total Players Recognized: 1 Player Model: Squeezebox Radio Player Type: baby Firmware: 7.7.3-r16676 An update notification would be nice to have, but a monthly (or so) build would be more than enough for me. Any hint on how to get the (more or less) new multi-library stuff working? Hey pinkdot, I could test the LMS update on a 212+. There is just no package yet. Plus I'd probably need a hint as to what to test, i.e. what's new in the update compared to the beta from Synology. I have not gotten around to test Pinkdot's repack LMS, yet, but for me Bitdefender and Squeezeplay did not work together on Win7 at least (with the Synology LMS). I wonder whether someone could update Squeezeplay as well. BTW, does the Joggler skin work for you? dapperdan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103636 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
Hi I'd like to try the LMS repack package, but is there a way to backup and restore the LMS settings (paths, favourites etc., ideally also database (though the music files could be easily re-scanned if the paths are available) and addons (not sure whether I even any in use atm). I am currently using the latest Synology package (LMS 7.7.3 if I am not mistaken). Thanks groetjes! dapperdan dapperdan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103636 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

pinkdot wrote: You have to remove your current installation of the Synology package. This also will remove all your settings, prefs and database. The only way to backup and restore is by command line AFAIK. But it is recommended to do a fresh install. Some plugins might not be compatible with 7.9.0. And 7.9.0 has several new features, so browsing through the interface is a good way to see whats new ;-) Thanks, makes sense. What's the path to the settings then? In case I want to restore the Synology package. dapperdan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103636 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
