[RBW] Connecting Toplight Line Plus to SON/Edeluxe
The Edeluxe has no second cable for the rear lamp, as does the Cyo: just one that runs to the prongs on the hub. The Toplight Line Plus has two prongs, one for power, one for ground. I suppose I attach the ground to a wire running to bare metal on the frame, but how do I attach the power wire to the hub? Do I have to run the wire directly to one of the SON (20R) prongs? Might be worth further reconnoitering, if you're looking for ideas. :) Best of luck, -Allan On Friday, September 20, 2013 12:13:46 AM UTC-7, AaronY wrote: Hey gang, Let's just get this out of the way. Here're the pictures: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjJqAYZK In preparation for the upcoming Wasco County Country Ramble (v2.0, mind you), I went exploring my new environs around The Dalles, OR. I ended up rambling further than I initially intended when I set out this morning (and really should have taken more water and sunscreen), but in the end I made it home safely. The ride took me out south of town via Dry Hollow and 3-mile Roads, but even though I was going South it was consistently uphill (sorry, Treebeard). After 4-5 miles the pavement ends and a wide, gravel road continues for another 6 or so miles. Dutch Flat road connects to Skyline Road which leads all the way back into town. Going north on Skyline is pretty much downhill the entire way and was a nice respite from the long slog out. Here's the route if you are interested: http://goo.gl/** maps/R957B http://goo.gl/maps/R957B I rode a Koga-Miyata ValleyRunner that is set up with Albatross bars and Barcons. The Keven's bag was perfect for this ride. The weather was perfect; not too hot, barely any wind. I'm not sure if I would recommend this as the actual Wasco County Country Ramble route. It was a good ride, but basically uphill the entire way out and downhill back in. I think a more variable route might be a better option. Also, this ride goes out to the middle of nowhere and back. There are no services out there or stores to grab food or drink. Smitty and I will work out a route before the actual Ramble, but if you have any suggestions please let me know and I can scout them out ahead of time. Riding out here (especially road riding) really is a hidden treasure. [RBW] Re: Barefoot Friendly Pedals
I have the Grip Kings and ride in Vibram Five Fingers - have for the past 4 years - probably over 10,000 miles. I had the sneaker pedals. I think for barefoot the sneaker pedals would be slightly better. I've tried riding barefoot with Grip Kings but need a thin sole to really push down hard on the pedal - I guess I'm a masher not a spinner. I'll try the sneaker pedals barefoot and will let you know but the platform is slightly smaller. I have a small foot so that helps - Womens' Size 6. Hope that helps. [RBW] FS: Slickersack and Platrack Combo
Hi there, I purchased the Slickersack from Rivendell as a floor model but never used it and the Platrack has never been mounted. I had great intentions for this combo but found that I was well served with my basket so I never bothered to mount it. Baby is on the way soon so the garage must be thinned down! The Slickersack doesn't look like it has been mounted, but has a couple of marks on it. It's in very good condition and has the dividers and the strap. The platrack has all of the hardware. I'm in the bay area and would love to sell it locally, but will happily ship it. $175 local, $195 shipped CONTUS. It's kind of hard to value this, so I will also happily accept offers. [RBW] FS: Schwalbe Marathon Supreme 700x40s and B+M Luxos B headlight
Hi all, The purging continues. Up for sale: -One set (2 tires) of brand new in box Marathon Supremes in 700 x 40. $110 including shipping in U.S. -Brand new in packaging B + M Luxos B dynamo headlight. $140 including shipping within the U.S. Not really interested in any trades unless it involves a decent 700c dynamo front wheel (prefer Schmidt and SP hubs laced to either a touring rim or something like an Open Pro/Sport). For trades, I am located in SF. Thanks! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group.
