Re: [Spice-devel] Spice used case: Remote access/control for physical systems, as opposed to vitrual machines
Thanks for your prompt reply. I briefly tried x11spice, but didn't make it work. Will give it another try in a few weeks.RegardsPedro___ Spice-devel mailing list Spice-devel@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/spice-devel

Hi, > Is it possible to use Spice on physical system, as opposed to > virtual machines? Can it replace vnc on non-virtualized > systems? It is possible but you need some server running in the machine that you want to access. There is no server for windows machines (AFAIK). For linux running on X11 you can use x11spice https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/spice/x11spice For Wayland, the best bet would be a plugin to run with pipewire on gnome-remote-desktop app, I think https://gitlab.gnome.org/jadahl/gnome-remote-desktop/issues/1 Cheers, Victor signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ Spice-devel mailing list Spice-devel@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/spice-devel
