Well, I had kind of forgotten that I had posted this to the list and kept getting grustrated on geting that dialog box "Unknown CA certificate". Thanks for reminding me to search for this. After I got your message, I just went to google and searched for "unknown ca certificate"+"the bat" and got the reply on the first page. Thanks to google. I'm not so frustrated now. Here's what you need to do: Go to your Data folder, and delete IntermCA.ABD and RootCA.ABD. They will be rebuilt when you restart TB. I am on Win XP and for me the data folder was here: C:\Documents and Settings\deboo\Application Data\The Bat! You will find that Outlook resets itself to be the default email programme on a regular basis - many Office updates via Microsoft Update reset the default email client, including updates of the Outlook Junk Mail list. There are instructions on stopping this happening at the following location http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=933450 but Brian Livingstone (http://windowssecrets.com/) suggests that it is easier to reset it manually. Problem Getting File Associations to Stick
G'day TBUDL Members, I recently installed Outlook 2003 (for the Calendar and Contacts - NOT the e-mail) to permit synchronisation of my appointments and contacts with my new Palm 750. Now The Bat! is no longer able to retain its file associations for "Mailto:" and ".VCF". I have to reset it every time I start The Bat! and even frequently if I want to utilise a mailto link during a browsing session. I know that Outlook is the culprit constantly stealing the file associations but does anyone have any idea how to stop it happening. I'm sure there must be other Bat! users that also have Outlook installed on their computers :-) . I tried installing The Bat! as the MAPI handler, not sure whether that fixed the problem or not as it broke Microsoft ActiveSync. The error message was: "WCESMgr.exe - Ordinal Not Found. The ordinal 23 could not be located in the dynamic link library MAPI32.dll". Removing the MAPI32 file created by The Bat! and restoring the old version fixed that problem but leaves me with the original problem. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. -- Bob Mo®®is Thursday, 22 March 2007 Using The Bat! WARNING: there were no compatible authentication protocols
Hello List, I'm getting the above error when tryign to send mails using my main account's smtp. This started happenning with the last Christmas edition of TB. This error is detailed here and some solutions but none worked for me. I have installed new versions but this problem persists. http://www.ritlabs.com/en/forum/read.php?FID=4&TID=4026&MID=15532&phrase_id=120292 The TB team makes new features available but this is something they should work on before new features, isn't it? I am using another smtp which seems to work for now but that's a trial account have with and email provider. Can not use it for long. I have had this problem with another smtp too. Using plain smtp or with tls/starttls, nothing works. Can someone give me a solution?
