I've had a big brown in my house here in Missouri twice. They can come down the chimney or even thru the clothes drier exhaust. Keep warm! William R. John, It could be a big brown bat. They move around during cold snaps and they like houses. Handle only with thick gloves. They bite! William R. Just got a frantic call from my mother that a bat is flying around her bedroom. They've had record cold temps this week (Indianapolis). Shouldn't bats be hibernating right now? Any advise?
