[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1361222] [NEW] webbrowser can play several youtube videos simultaneously

2014-08-25 Thread Jean-Baptiste Lallement
Public bug reported:

Krillin: 207

Test Case:
1. Go to the video scope
2. Tap Search and enter a search term eg ubuntu
3. Select a video in the list to open the detailed view
4. Tap the screenshot to open the video in the browser
5. Once the browser is open, tap the screenshot again to start playing the video
6. Do a right edge swipe to open the video scope
7. Tap the back button to open the list of video displayed previously in the
video scope
8. Select another video from the list and repeat steps 3 to 5

Actual Result
When the browser opens, the 1st video resumes playing. If you play the 2nd
video then both are playing simultaneously.
You can repeat steps 6 to 8 and add more videos to the mix.
There is no way to stop 1st video from playing, other than stopping the
webbrowser in which case the 2 videos stop.

Expected Result
1st video doesn't resume.

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1361313] [NEW] Webapps don't use system clipboard

2014-08-25 Thread Michael
Public bug reported:

Pasting text copied form outside of a webapp is impossible. Similary,
copying text from a webapp and trying to paste it into another
application (e.g. GEdit) doesn't work, as webbrowser-app (used to run
webapps) doesn't seem to use the system clipboard, but has a local
clipboard for each webbrowser-app window.

Copying text from one webapp (e.g. Gmail) into another one (e.g. Google
Plus) also doesn't work.

Copying and pasting only works within one webapp/webbrowser-app window,
i.e. each webapp (webbrowser-app window) seems to have its own
clipboard.

Test case:
1. Open a webapp (e.g. Gmail)
2. Select text by double-clicking and copy it by pressing [ctrl]+[c]
3. Try pasting it in GEdit, e.g. with [ctrl]+[c], or with [shift]+[insert], or
with middle-click (i.e. from the X clipboard)

Expected result:
Text copied from the webapp is pasted into GEdit

Actual result:
Text previously copied from outside of any web app (e.g. from Firefox) is
pasted instead.

Analogous test cases apply for copying from GEdit (or another non-
webapp) into a webapp and between webapps. All fail in similar ways,
however between webapps, it's the content of a webapp's local clipboard
that's pasted.

[Ubuntu-apps-bugs] [Bug 1361312] Re: Cannot focus the address bar the first time after reboot

2014-08-25 Thread Olivier Tilloy
This seems to be an ubuntu-keyboard regression after all. To demonstrate
that I:

 - installed image #203, and verified that focusing the address bar after boot
worked
 - upgraded the webbrowser-app packages only to 0.23+14.10.20140821-0ubuntu1,
rebooted and verified that the test still worked
 - upgraded the ubuntu-keyboard packages only to
0.99.trunk.phablet2+14.10.20140820-0ubuntu1, rebooted and verified that the
test failed
 - installed image #203 again, and verified that focusing the address bar after
boot worked
 - upgraded the ubuntu-keyboard packages only to
0.99.trunk.phablet2+14.10.20140820-0ubuntu1, rebooted and verified that the
test failed

** Also affects: ubuntu-keyboard (Ubuntu)

Cannot focus the address bar the first time after reboot

Status in “ubuntu-keyboard” package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in “webbrowser-app” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I can reliably reproduce the issue on image #207 both on flo and
  krillin.

  Steps to reproduce:
   - reboot the device
   - launch the browser app
   - wait for the current page to finish loading
   - tap the address bar to focus it

Expected result: the address bar is and remains focused, the OSK
shows up and the list of suggestions too

Actual result: the address bar is very briefly focused (the list of
suggestions flashes in and out) and then unfocused again, the OSK
  doesn’t show up.

This is a recent regression, not sure whether the root cause is in
webbrowser-app itself or in the OSK.

Subsequent attempts to focus the address bar work as expected, the
issue can be observed only the first time after a reboot.
