[Bug 442178] Re: rt2860 doesn't connect on 802.11n wifi
Hi everybody, I had the same problem as I have an ASUS PCE-N13, 300Mbps, PCIe x1 wireless card with the same chipset RA2860STA. I've tried to compile from the source version 2.3.0.0 but had no luck with that. My kernel is 2.6.32-23-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 11 08:03:28 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux. Then I booted the 2.6.32-22 kernel and saw that the wirellen N connection worked with the original kernel modul (1.8.1.1). During the compiling/installation process I figured out the file /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA/RT2860STA.dat was created. So for me it works only with the original config file from source package. I only changed some paramaters in it. (WirelessMode=7,CountryCode=DE,AuthMode=WPA2PSK,EncrypType=AES) I can start my 802.11n connection with WICD. -- rt2860 doesn't connect on 802.11n wifi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442178 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The problem has been also reported elsewhere, however it was considered a minor issue. [Bug 569900] Re: mount: mounting /dev/md0 on /root/ failed: Invalid argument
I have this exact same issue. 500.1GB seagate disks and 64bit 10.04 server. Have tried installing in a couple of different configurations with no luck. The first time I got the "mount: mounting /dev/disk/by-uuid/ on /root/ failed: Invalid argument" message and I noticed that gub-mkconfig was detecting a uuid that as far as I can tell did not exist on the system. So I changed /etc/default/grub so that I didn't pass uuid as a parameter. After that it wouldn't mount /proc. The system works fine when installed on only one disk. I'll have one or two more goes at installing using some of the ideas here. If it still doesn't work I'll have to give up and use debian. -- mount: mounting /dev/md0 on /root/ failed: Invalid argument https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569900 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The updated package doesn't work for me either. On my system, if I unplug the AC soon after booting up, it doesn't trigger the lid-closed event. Re: [Bug 589942] Re: List of possible filesystems duplicates itself during partition phase of installation -- 1
I don't think it's QTParted either. Take a i686 version of Kubuntu 10.04 Netbook Edition from kubuntu.org, then when the GRUB menu displays, select "Install Kubuntu Netbook Edition". Do NOT let Kubuntu load first. Then, when you go through a about 3 setting options, the problem fleshed out in my bug report happens when it gets to the partition screen. So, I'm using whatever tool (minimal graphics) that GRUB loads when selecting "Install" and NOT the install program that you can run after the Kubuntu NBE Live CD loads. By the way, I used the M$-Windows USB creator tool on the Kubuntu NBE disc, to create a bootable SD card that plugs into a USB key simulator, since my ZaReason Teo netbook won't boot from its internal SD card slot (and has no CD drive, nor do I have access to an external CD drive). The SD card plugged into the USB thing worked great. I doubt it was the cause of this. So, I bet you could replicate this minor bug by trying out what I told you (except just use a the bootable CD straight up). If you still absolutely need photos, I might be able to, or I might not. Obviously, I can't do a screen capture since Kubuntu hadn't loaded up—just the GRUB-based Kubuntu 10.04 Netbook Edition. So, I'll have to try to get someone to photograph my screen. So please give it a go or forward this message to whoever you think might be helpful. Thanks Mr. Gedak —Wm. Could you please generate an apport crash report for this? A crash report will help in resolving your problem. You can enable apport for one instance like this in the terminal: sudo service apport start force_start=1 I am marking this invalid as apport will open a new bug when the crash is generated. Please include any relevant information from this report in the new bug report. If you cannot generate a crash report, you can reset the status of this one to new and we will try something else. [Bug 596375] Re: the close buton of firefox stop work
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). Thanks! When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- the close buton of firefox stop work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/596375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
