[Bug 821439] Re: memory leak in mumble client
I think I have this same bug, but way worse than how it's described here. The actual speed of the memory increase for me is really fast. The memory usage for mumble goes up by ~1% every 10 seconds. I have 8 gigs of RAM so the actual increase is about ~800 MB over that time span. This is connected to a server with a few people talking. I've tried changing around all sorts of settings with no luck at getting it to stop yet. The only thing I've found that helps is that after I click "Apply" or "OK" on the settings page it goes back to ~1.5% memory usage and starts climbing again from there. So whatever happens after clicking those buttons is cleaning up that memory, and I can do that periodically to keep it from locking up my entire machine. If I let it keep going eventually my whole computer freezes up until mumble crashes entirely and other stuff can start working again. If anyone has any troubleshooting they'd like me to do just let me know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/821439 Title: memory leak in mumble client To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mumble/+bug/821439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1113166] [NEW] update to new mozjs188 library
Public bug reported: The release of a new mozjs library should be happening later this month, which will be based of the Firefox esr17 engine. Atleast with respect to gnome-shell the new release fixes lots of leaks and Garbabe Collector (GC) deadlocks. Since this would be good to get this update into raring, creating this as a tracking bug. Gjs 1.35 has been ported (which should land upstream before gnome freeze mid Feb) and I have tested this against both gnome-shell 3.6 and 3.7, there are significant improvements in memory usage, and I have not seen a single GC deadlock. Currently none of the other rdepends have been ported as far as I know, and its probably not realistic to get all of them ported before the Ubuntu freeze. There are quite a lot of trivial API changes between mozjs185 and 188, although most are picked up by compiler errors or seg faults. A large portion of the work could be done by some compatibility defines and some sed magic, however the end results is quite a large diff, so probably not something that would want to carry as a distro patch. As such, atleast for the short-term would probably need to have a transition period with both versions available. Reverse Depends: libgjs0c gnome-shell (will just require rebuild) oolite gxine gnome-shell dehydra couchdb-bin cinnamon (will just require rebuild) 0ad (I believe upstream want to go straight to FF18) One last thing is that the soname format will probably change to libmozjs-17.0.so (i.e. Firefox versioning). ** Affects: mozjs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1113166 Title: update to new mozjs188 library To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mozjs/+bug/1113166/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I would appreciate it if this ROADBLOCK to using 13.04 is removed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1076716 Title: Extract Here fails to preserve timestamps (non-empty folders) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/1076716/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1113092] Re: Flash not working in Google Chrome
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1113092/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1113133] [NEW] Wrong/inconsistent display of attachment file sizes
Public bug reported: This is especially noticeable for emails with very large attachments. For example, in the email list window the "size" column will display 61 MB, but when I click on this email, at the bottom of the text the file is listed as being 47 MB. Then, when I download the attachment, it tells it is downloading 61MB, but at about 70% the download is finished and the downloaded file size on disk is only 47 MB. IMHO the reason is the ASCII-armouring of email attachments which increases the file size. So it is actually correct that the mail size is 61MB, even though the attached data is only 47MB. [Bug 1079938] Re: ${prefix} present in Python files breaking sssd
Hi Timo, I've been searching the automake docs all day and I think I've found something relevant. According to https://www.gnu.org/software/automake/manual/html_node /Standard-Directory-Variables.html if "--datadir=..." is not passed (like in Ubuntu), then "@datadir@" is replaced with "${prefix}/share". So in that regard, sssd is not doing anything wrong. To get it to use "/usr/share" instead of "${prefix}/share", the correct way is to pass "--datadir=/usr/share" to configure ( https://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html#Directory-Variables ). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1079938 Title: ${prefix} present in Python files breaking sssd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debhelper/+bug/1079938/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1113092] [NEW] Flash not working in Google Chrome
Public bug reported: Hi, I'm sorry to report a bug happening to a program (Google Chrome) that is not provided by any of the Ubuntu repositories, but this one is maybe related to the Flash library provided by Canonical. The issue is: since today I can't use the Flash plugin in my Google Chrome, but in Firefox it's working just fine. I've gathered some logs (sorry for being partly in Portuguese) which may help finding out what's happening: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/1599263/ And this is my complete "chrome://plugins/" section: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/1599269/ If I shouldn't have opened this issue here, please let me know, and feel free to close it right away. [Bug 1088775] Re: gwibber does not refresh Facebook feeds
Re #59. The trace is saying that package python-imaging is not correctly installed. python-imaging←gwibber-service←gwibber, so python-imaging should already be installed as a 2nd level dependency of gwibber. [Bug 1106216] Re: Laptop hangs and shows a black screen with a backtrace
Jaime Rave, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the kernel in the mainline kernels archive directory daily folder. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example: kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.8-rc6 This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, please comment as to why specifically you were unable to test it and add the following tags: kernel-unable-to-test-upstream kernel-unable-to-test-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. [Bug 1113054] [NEW] No fps setting in v1.7.0

[Bug 1113048] [NEW] ar5523 driver fails to activate device (129B:160C)
Public bug reported: I am beta testing raring ringtail, and on the first rollout of kernel 3.8.0-2-generic, a driver became natively available for my device, a Siemens Gigaset USB 108 wifi adapter (129B:160C). Up to this point, I'd been using ndiswrapper plus windows drivers to run my device on kernel 3.5.0-22-generic. On the first round of updates which came after I installed 3.8.0-2-generic, the driver failed to work. And it hasn't worked since - i'm now on 3.8.0-4.8 I have attached a copy of my dmesg.txt which shows what my device is generating when it's attached, and the relevant section starts at [15.422489] in the list, when cfg80211 calls the CRDA. What is worse, however, is that ndiswrapper won't build in the 3.8.x kernels up to now, so I cannot properly beta test raring - I need to have the right things working in the right way before I can do that - there's no point in trying to beta test or bugsmash while I'm running an old kernel (I'm back on 3.5.0-22 atm) For what it's worth, I know the USB WLAN adapter works, since it's what I'm connected to the net with right now :) Thanks for anything you can do. release details from lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu Raring Ringtail (development branch) Release:13.04 ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "dmesg from 3.8.0-4 showing errors from ar5523 module" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1113048/+attachment/3511142/+files/dmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1113048 Title: ar5523 driver fails to activate device (129B:160C) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1113048/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
