[Bug 1780585] Re: lubuntu cosmic installs ZRAM
@vmc, Did you install Lubuntu Cosmic into the internal drive by 'dd' from the iso file or USB flash drive? Or did you use an installer (Calamares or Ubiquity or the text mode mode Debian installer or some other installer)? When you boot Lubuntu from a 'dd'-installed system, you have a live system, which uses zram, and has used zram for years. Is this what you are running now? When booted into a live system, and you *install* Lubuntu with an installer (Calamares or Ubiquity or the text mode mode Debian installer or some other installer), Lubuntu should get installed so that it will not use zram. If I am understanding correctly, it would be a bug, if zram is actively used by the installed system after such an installation. This is what I tried to test yesterday, but I failed to used the installer, Calamares, that is bundled with Lubuntu Cosmic, and when I booted from the Ubuntu mini.iso and used the Debian installer, the result was a working installed Lubuntu Cosmic system, that is *not* using zram. So please describe with more details how you installed Lubuntu (which installer you used, and which steps you were taking (what you selected at which step) etc) and I will try to install Lubuntu in the same way. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1780585 Title: lubuntu cosmic installs ZRAM To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1780585/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1780510] Re: pulseaudio does not resume playback via built in speakers, despite rebooting ubuntu
Hi I was playing an mkv file in vlc on my tv screen through a HDMI cable connected to my laptopt that runs ubuntu 18.04. Sound was also playing on TV speakers via the HDMI cable as well. I disconnected the HDMI cable and found out that sound would not reverse back to laptop built in speakers. I rebooted the laptop and the problem persisted. I therefore connected earplugs to it and than I was able to switch back to built in speakers. There is a bug with pulseaudio? I think that is causing all this trouble. [Bug 1718931] Re: No VPN autoconnect
Well...it has been quite some time and this bug has received absolutely *zero* attention from the Gnome Shell Gitlab here https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/123 escalated from the Gnome Bugzilla tracker after Gnome shell development moved to Gitlab. The issue is fully present in Ubuntu 18.04 AND in the newer version of the Gnome shell and NetworkManager in Fedora 28. Before v3.26.X, auto- connect worked fine through the NetworkManager in the Gnome environment. I'm afraid to report that months later, absolutely nothing has been done to address what should be a relatively high-priority bug in the Gnome Shell. If anyone has the capabilities to reach out farther than I already have, please do so. This critical bug has been sitting idle with no attention for months, and persists across newer versions of the Gnome shell, namely 3.28.X, seemingly independent of distribution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1718931 Title: No VPN autoconnect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/network-manager/+bug/1718931/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1771814] Re: NVIDIA CVE-2018-6249 CVE-2018-6253
Bionic has nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 which provides transitional packages for the nvidia-graphics-drivers-384 binary packages. In other words, the nvidia-graphics-drivers-384 package in bionic isn't used. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1771814 Title: NVIDIA CVE-2018-6249 CVE-2018-6253 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-384/+bug/1771814/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1281329] Re: Sync up 14.04 release with latest avaiable version from project
Note that version 3.2.6-1 of the sql-ledger package was uploaded to Debian unstable on 6 July 2018, at which point I also became the maintainer.
