[Bug 1888347] [NEW] blk-availability unmounts filesystems before applications have finished using them
Public bug reported: This bug is similar to the following: Red Hat - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1701234#c2 Debian - https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=946882 The blk-availability service is short-cutting RequiresMountsFor= dependencies during system shutdown and unmounting filesystems before those services have stopped, resulting in data file corruption and/or data loss. This can be worked around by adding "After=blk-availability.service" to the unit file for the service in question, but this is not self-evident and shouldn't be necessary. [Bug 1888348] [NEW] Maximize button gets stuck if animation is switched off from Tweaks.
Public bug reported: Affected version Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, GNOME version 3.36.2, Windowing system Wayland Bug summary Clicking the maximize button on a window does not maximize the window. Steps to reproduce Turn off all animations from gnome-tweaks. Click the maximize button on a window. Expected output: Window should get maximized. Output observed: The maximize button takes the click and becomes highlighted. However the window is not maximized. If the screen is refreshed, for example by pressing the super key then the window gets maximized. Interestingly, a double click on the window title bar immediately maximizes the window. Also the issue is observed in GNOME software like the Terminal or Settings windows, but not in other software like Firefox. I don’t see any reason why we have a different set of dependencies, apart if docker has all of them vendorized in ubuntu for reason. [Bug 1884634] Re: backport-iwlwifi-dkms 8324-0ubuntu3 ADT test failure with linux-5.8 5.8.0-1.2
** Description changed: [SRU Justifcation] [Impact] + When compiled against linux-oem-5.6 kernels on Focal, backport-iwlwifi-dkms gives numerous errors and fails the installation. Although the current version 8324 has been marked obsoleted by 5.4 or newer in bug 1863583 and bug 1869587, this still happens during the installation of either kernel headers packages or backport-iwlwifi-dkms because dkms will still build but skip installing dkms modules. So far this doesn't bring critical errors, but as a LTS series Focal will receive more and more kernel version bumps as Bionic does, such build failure will be a problem that can't be avoid. + [Fix] + This backports rev 8613, which fixed compilation against v5.8, that is already in Groovy to Focal along with necessary changes (Depends: flex, bison). + [Test Case] + Tested on 5.4.0-40-generic and 5.6.0-1018-oem on Focal. + [Regression Potential] - [Other Info] + Low. So far backport-iwlwifi-dkms is still marked OBSOLETED_BY=5.4.0, so it has totally no effect in the runtime system. This will only change when future enablements based on LTS series Focal that relies on out-of-tree driver support from this package. === Original Bug Description === Testing failed on: amd64: https://objectstorage.prodstack4-5.canonical.com/v1/AUTH_77e2ada1e7a84929a74ba3b87153c0ac/autopkgtest-groovy-canonical-kernel-team-bootstrap/groovy/amd64/b/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/20200619_205606_7a677@/log.gz arm64: https://objectstorage.prodstack4-5.canonical.com/v1/AUTH_77e2ada1e7a84929a74ba3b87153c0ac/autopkgtest-groovy-canonical-kernel-team-bootstrap/groovy/arm64/b/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/20200619_210720_cf76d@/log.gz ppc64el: https://objectstorage.prodstack4-5.canonical.com/v1/AUTH_77e2ada1e7a84929a74ba3b87153c0ac/autopkgtest-groovy-canonical-kernel-team-bootstrap/groovy/ppc64el/b/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/20200619_205835_f474a@/log.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1884634 Title: backport-iwlwifi-dkms 8324-0ubuntu3 ADT test failure with linux-5.8 5.8.0-1.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/+bug/1884634/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1873961] Re: tc filter show tcp_flags wrong mask value
Hi David, since Ubuntu 18.04 / bionic is a versions that is already released and in service, we cannot simply bump it's iproute2 version to the latest from upstream (this is only possible for Ubuntu releases that are in development - aot 20.10). Instead we need to follow the pretty strict SRU process (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates) and according to this we would need the patch/commit (or in this case the minimal list of patches/commits) that fix a certain issue. Hence the approach in the bug description - listing the needed commits - is the right way. But out engineer assumes in comment #5 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/iproute2/+bug/1873961/comments/5) that the pre-req. patch is probably a different one - and before going further we want you to confirm. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1873961 Title: tc filter show tcp_flags wrong mask value To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-power-systems/+bug/1873961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Upload debdiff for groovy, please help to review this patch, in the meantime, I'm running the stress test with this package in a nvidia platform, let's see how it goes. ** Patch added: "grub2_2.04-1ubuntu26_2.04-1ubuntu27.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/1845801/+attachment/5394535/+files/grub2_2.04-1ubuntu26_2.04-1ubuntu27.debdiff ** Description changed: I just updated to the Ubuntu 19.10 beta. After boot, I'm shown the GDM login screen (which I shouldn't; I have auto login enabled), and logging in just takes me back to the same user selection screen even though the password is correct. If I switch to a TTY and run `sudo pkill gnome-session-binary`, logging in through GDM starts working again. I should add that the do-release-upgrade was rocky; I did it in a terminal from within gnome, went away for a while, and when I returned, I just saw an Ubuntu 19.10 in a TTY. I was able to do `sudo dpkg --configure -a` and complete the upgrade, but I don't know if something's still messed up due to that. [Bug 1888164] Re: Cannot re-pair Bluetooth Keyboard when wrong pairing code is entered
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1845163 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1845163 ** Description changed: Expected behavior: 1.Pressing the “Cancel” button during device pairing should close the pairing code prompt 2.Re-pairing BT keyboard after cancelling initial pairing should re-open the pairing code prompt Problem: 1.Pressing the “Cancel” button during device pairing does not close the pairing code prompt 2.Re-pairing BT keyboard after cancelling initial pairing does not show the pairing code prompt. Steps: 1.Turn on the system’s Bluetooth (usually turned on by default on boot) 2.Try to pair the system with the BT Keyboard via the Bluetooth Settings UI 3.When the pairing code prompt appears, input the wrong code and press enter. This should generate a new code 4.Press “Cancel” on the pairing code prompt. Notice that the cancel button is not working. 5.Press the Esc button on the system’s keyboard. This should close the pairing code prompt. 6.Try re-pairing the system with the BT Keyboard via the Bluetooth Settings UI. 7.Notice that the connection is loading but the pairing code prompt does not reappear. The system and the BT keyboard cannot be re-paired. Workaround: 1.When a new code is generated in Step 3, input the correct code. This would successfully pair the system and the BT keyboard. 2.Try rebooting the system after Step 7 to recover the connection. Notes: - Keyboards tested: > ThinkPad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard > Microsoft Designer Keyboard - Issue does not happen in Windows OS - I have reported this issue to Intel and they didn't see any error from the connection logs. [Bug 1782984] Re: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed with multiple applications
I would like to add some info that may help to narrow the problem. I have had this crash in PCManFM since i upgraded ubuntu from 16.04 to 18.04 but the same bug manifest in Geany and Chromium as well. The bug could hit PCManFM within a few clicks opening directories and then clicking on a file or can take hours to show up. In the case of Chromium it usually hit at the launch of the browser. I rebuilt the LibX11 with the supposedly fix mentioned by Tycho Kircher and apparently this has not fixed the problem but the crash is now without the Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed. I installed only these packages: * libx11-xcb1_1.6.4-3ubuntu0.2_amd64.deb * libx11-xcb-dev_1.6.4-3ubuntu0.2_amd64.deb lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. [Bug 1886022] Re: multiple processes intermittently stall at same point in strace
I decided to try removing ltsp, ltsp-binaries and dsnmasq, just to see what would happen after. During the attempt, I got a timeout during update-initramfs. Timeouts like this during apt are common. I ran "update-initramfs -u" after the timeout, and that time it seemed to proceed normally. I'll go reboot the machine when I can and report back. Aside: This machine also serves a website, and that remains fast even when the rest of the machine is slow. After ssh to another internal machine, all is fast again. So it's not a plain network thing. The timeout: root@frost:~# apt remove dnsmasq ltsp ltsp-binaries Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done The following package was automatically installed and is no longer required: sshfs Use 'apt autoremove' to remove it. The following packages will be REMOVED: dnsmasq ltsp ltsp-binaries 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 3 to remove and 0 not upgraded. After this operation, 1,669 kB disk space will be freed. [Bug 1887826] Re: CURLFile POST missing Content-Length header
I'm not quite sure what to say about how to reproduce. POST a file using PHP-cURL to a server that doesn't support chunked mode. I'm using https://sandbox.zenodo.com, but this requires a free account and utilizing their API, which seems beyond the scope of what I should put in a comment. Here is a sample similar to what I'm doing, with url/token/file removed: - 'POST, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER => true, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER => [ 'Authorization: Bearer ' . $access_token, 'Content-Type: multipart/form-data', ], CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST => 2, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION => true, CURLOPT_POSTREDIR => 3, CURLINFO_HEADER_OUT=> true, CURLOPT_HTTP_VERSION => CURL_HTTP_VERSION_1_1,//this has no effect ]; $file = curl_file_create(realpath($file), null, basename($file)); $data = ['file' => $file, 'name' => basename($file)]; $options[CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS] = $data; curl_setopt_array($ch, $options); $response = curl_exec($ch); $curl_info = curl_getinfo($ch); $curl_error = curl_error($ch); curl_close($ch); This works in Ubuntu 18, but not Ubuntu 20. To make it work in 20 I have to additionally empty the Transfer-Enconding header and determine and set the Content-Length header. This should not be necessary: $options[CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER][] = "Transfer-Encoding: "; //not sure how to determine $size $options[CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER][] = "Content-Length: $size" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887826 Title: CURLFile POST missing Content-Length header To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php7.4/+bug/1887826/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
