[Bug 1839947] Re: hgview crashes with error AttributeError: 'phasecache' object has no attribute '_phaserevs'

2019-08-13 Thread Arthur Lutz (Logilab)
Hi @tsnaik thanks for reporting this bug.

I think this might be related to a more recent version of mercurial
unsupported by hgview 1.9.0

Can you try to reproduce with a more recent version of hgview ?
https://pypi.org/project/hgview/ (1.10.7 for example). For debian
packages you can try out the repo hosted by logilab (no service
garantee).

deb http://apt.logilab.fr bionic-backports main

(the signing key is here : http://apt.logilab.fr/key.asc )

If you are blocked, an alternative software for a similar usage is
tortoisehg https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=tortoisehg

[Bug 1748925] Re: hgview will not start

2018-02-13 Thread Arthur Lutz (Logilab)
Hi Ethan, thanks for reporting this bug and using hgview. I believe a
fix has been pushed upstream https://hg.logilab.org/review/hgview but
has not yet been published or arrived in debian / ubuntu. Would you be
willing to try out an install from source to confirm this ? I've
notified the maintainers of hgview to encourage them to push this update
where it need to be pushed.

[Bug 666921] Re: (Kubuntu) GTK app freeze when some GUI feature is used

2014-10-01 Thread Arthur Lutz (Logilab)
Am getting something similar to this but don't known where to start
debugging it. Removing libcanberra-gtk-module doesn't fix the problem.

Doing a

   $ lsof  | grep libcanberra

gets me a bunche of matches on files from libcanberra0. Trying to remove
that offers to install a bunch of new packages, but removes a number of
other things I use. Am using trusty.

[Bug 1376243] [NEW] Intermitent freeze of window, goes grey when changing workspaces in awesomevm

2014-10-01 Thread Arthur Lutz (Logilab)
Public bug reported:

This is probably a gtk bug but I don't know on whih package I should put
it. The main application on which I encounter this bug is
fireworfirefox so amposting it here.

Every few seconds or few minutes I get a freeze on firefox. At first I
thought it was just on videos (and the sound keeps on going) but as a
matter of fact it's the whole window even when not showing a video. For
example, as am I typing this, twice since I began, the text stops
showing, I keep on typing and then it appears.

I am using awesomewm as a window manager but I doubt the bug is there.
The QT apps are running fine. My thunderbird is even more freeze prone
that my firefox (for example openning a new mail window is really slow).
Sometimes when I click on a menu it will take time to appear and then if
I change workspaces it will appear on the other workspaces.

I thought it might be
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/emacs23/+bug/1142213 or
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk2-engines-
oxygen/+bug/963736 but nothing fixed it. I tried disabling addons but
with no luck.

Am running trusty. This is becoming a blocking issue for me and would
greatly appreciate tips on how to debug it and fix it.

[Bug 1376243] Re: Intermitent freeze of window, goes grey when changing workspaces in awesomevm

2014-10-01 Thread Arthur Lutz (Logilab)
For some reason, this seems to be related to awesomewm because loging
out and trying firefox out in gnome doesn't seem to freeze the same way.
At some point I got an error message saying Firefox is not responding
wait or kill but it's been working ok since.

I still have a huge load time on thunderbird. Is there a way to move
this bug to awesomevm ?

[Bug 577302] Re: ubiquity crashes with error: InstallStepError: Plugin usersetup failed with code 32

2012-12-18 Thread Arthur Lutz (Logilab)
I believe this problem comes back on 12.04 because /dev/shm is now a
link to /run/shm and when mount --bind of /dev/ is done the installer
should also mount /run/shm

[Bug 1091622] [NEW] casper fails on generating SSL and anything that uses /dev/urandom

2012-12-18 Thread Arthur Lutz (Logilab)
Public bug reported:

First thing that fails is :

Begin: Regenerating SSL certificate... ... Could not create certificate.
Openssl output was:
unable to load 'random state'
This means that the random number generator has not been seeded

Then :

OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/dev/urandom'

Full trace of casper.log here : http://paste.ubuntu.com/1447308/

casper.conf is ::

export USERNAME=custom
export USERFULLNAME=Live session user
export HOST=custom
export BUILD_SYSTEM=Ubuntu
export FLAVOUR=custom

Using precise pangolin 12.04 with casper version 1.315

In the past I had some success hacking around this problem by using

+export UNIONFS=unionfs-fuse

or

+export UNIONFS=aufs

That doesn't seem to work anymore.
