[Bug 1946817] Re: Epiphay browser crashes when loading Matrix/Element
installing apport-collect uninstall systemd-coredump. Anyhow, I played along: % apport-collect 1946817 Package webkit2gtk not installed and no hook available, ignoring *** Updating problem report No additional information collected. Press any key to continue... No pending crash reports. Try --help for more information. -- I requested another person to try the same, and it could reproduce it in a hardware that is already different than mine. [Bug 1511002] Re: Computer freezes/crashes while using GNOME
This bug seems related to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88012 As I can reproduce it after setting the parameters to save energy using powertop. ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #88012 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88012 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1511002 Title: Computer freezes/crashes while using GNOME To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1511002/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1511002] Re: Computer freezes/crashes while using GNOME
I set it back to Confirmed as this bug mainly is a crash report, with a kernel stacktrace. The stacktrace may help a developer to see where the issue is. The other bug is only about the garbage text, something I mentioned that may be related, but it may be not and just be coincidence. Anyhow, I will test the setting suggested there (to fallback from SNA to UXA), and see whether I can get a crash report in the following days. Otherwise, I will try back to SNA and test the same again. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1511002 Title: Computer freezes/crashes while using GNOME To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1511002/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1511002] [NEW] Computer freezes/crashes while using GNOME
Public bug reported: I think I have two issues (may related) with the Intel driver for my graphic card. Sometimes the text is shown as garbage, and every other day (after suspending) it crashes. As I have not figure out what is the SysRq magic key is in this new laptop (Lenovo x250), I can only recover control on my computer after pressing the power off button. I cannot go to a vt. [Bug 867749] Re: Permission Denied error when reading a pdf format file whos name doesn't end in .pdf
In Evince upstream, we have seen similar reports in the past, but all of them have turned out to be Ubuntu specific (i.e. issues with apparmor). As per comment https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=661936#c9: File named test: [12219.529055] type=1400 audit(1420318053.543:106): apparmor="DENIED" operation="open" profile="/usr/bin/evince" name="/var/run/test" pid=22519 comm="EvJobScheduler" requested_mask="r" denied_mask="r" fsuid=1000 ouid=0 After renaming to test.pdf it works as expected. [Bug 311614] Re: If DPI in X != DPI in Gnome, document dimensions are not true at 100% zoom
This might be a bug in screenruler. If I change the DPI of the screen and the document is set to 100% (representing physical size), then, the document should change its size. That is, if the document is A4 and I put an actual A4 sheet on top of the screen, changing the DPI should not change the document size. [Bug 806606] Re: ip information frame not displayed correctly
Stable distributions only make updates between minor releases, not between major releases. This avoid the introduction of regressions in other places. Nevertheless, gnome-nettool 3.0.1 was released in January and there is no update in Ubuntu. You can file a bug for getting that package into 11.10. However, gnome-nettool 3.0.1 does not include the fix for this particular bug because the solution implies a change in the UI. Therefore it was included in gnome-nettool 3.1, which is is a development version of the next gnome 3.2 (not released yet). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/806606 Title: ip information frame not displayed correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-nettool/+bug/806606/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 198129] Re: Chile delay in 3 weeks the daylight time transition
I can confirm the bug. I was expecting to have CLST this sunday 9, but it was CLT. The time was right, but not the timezone. It didn't happen in Debian Etch. I checked them, and both of them (ubuntu and debian packages) shared the same patch. I also checked with: $ zdump -v 'America/Santiago' | grep 2008 According to this, the timezone should be CLST. However, in Ubuntu was required to run dpkg-reconfigure tzdata. At that moment, 'America' was not selected. I mean, there were no timezone selected. After I choose 'America', pressing next I got 'Santiago' (Chile most common locations or so) selected. I pressed ok, and the timezone was fine again (CLST). Also tried to repackage it using the latest tzdata 2008a (with the right patch for Chile), and it happened the same. [Bug 70969] Crash when try to run OpenOffice using Multihead setting
Public bug reported: I have defined a multihead setting in my laptop (Dell Inspiron 700m with Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02)). The main one on the right side.
