Regarding the failing weather app tests: the flaky tests are caused by not considering the newly added convergent layout. I've upgraded from 12.10 to 13.04 with 3.8.0-23-generic and the backlight control stopped working. It works on 3.8.0-21-generic, but not on 3.8.0-22-generic.
