[Bug 187303] Re: Make the gksu password entry dialog more indicative of currently used language
The dialog should have the same language indicator as gnome-screensaver does. This would solve several problems. 1. No way to now in which language you are typing your password. 2. No way to change the keyboard layout to type the password correctly. I constantly end up with the following scenario: 1. I try to do something that requires my password. 2. I get prompted to enter my password. 3. I enter my password. 4. I get informed that the password is incorrect. 5. I check keyboard-layout indicator on the panel to confirm, that I just typed my password in incorrect keyboard layout. 6. I cancel gksu's prompt and change the layout. 7. Goto step 1. 8. pxljr regressed in 12.04. Command mentioned in comment #26 returns "Unsupported color conversion request". HP CLJ 3550 prints wrong colors again with this driver. We experience the X crash with every PC with Intel 810/815 chipset and anything newer than xserver-xorg-video-intel=2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1. I dedicated one of the computers for finding the problem. I tried to report a bug with: sudo apport-bug /var/crash/_usr_bin_Xorg.0.crash However, when I press "S: Send report (382.7 KB)", apport just exits without any message. The only difference between Job 32973 and 32974 is that job 32973 is the first job printed after turning the printer off and on. I could build wine (32/64-bit) fine with ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu26 (by following these instructions http://wiki.winehq.org/Wine64#head- 50d8acdb0146929a14b9601757cbc03452f2056d) Today I upgraded ia32-libs and ia32-libs-multiarch:i386 to 20090808ubuntu32 and tried to reconfigure and recompile wine. 64-bit part was fine. 32-bit part at first complained that libx11-dev:i386 is needed, which installed fine, then libfreetype6-dev:386 was needed.
