[Bug 288148] Re: Disabling ath5k in 2.6.27
This modification is a SHAME ! I have lost my wifi connectivity just after a simple update. Before my wireless connection was perfect. I am eeePC 900 and you talk about a Out of the box experience with Intrepid. It was true but now it's a lie because Wifi it's one of the most important thing on this computer. It's the first time I am very angry against Ubuntu team. -- Disabling ath5k in 2.6.27 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288148 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 288148] Re: Disabling ath5k in 2.6.27
Please can someone from the ubuntu team can reply ? I have performed apt-get install linux-backports-modules-intrepid but it don't works at all. I still lost my wifi since a simple update. When I check the OFFICIAL documentation I can read : Wireless should work out-of-the-box with Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EeePC/Fixes Please enable ath5k in the kernel again or post a working fix ! Yes, the icons show up when you enable a setting in the Appearance panel, but I think this is still a bug. E.g, if I set : xsetwacom set Wacom Intuos3 9x12 pad StripLeftUp key f And make any use of the strip, the XServer crashes immediately. If I set : xsetwacom set Wacom Intuos3 9x12 pad Button 1 key y And make any use of the Button number one, it just crashes, and so on I think you got it. [Bug 680477] [NEW] xsetwacom goes wild with Intuos4 strips
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick, up to date) x32-64, with the last official xserver-xorg-input-wacom package (1:0.10.8-0ubuntu1 for instance). My tablet is a Wacom Intuos3 A4 (Wacom Intuos3 9x12). When I boot up my system, and I use the strips of my tablet to test them, they do work as default action (slide page). But this is not what I want to do with it, so I use xsetwacom for this. And, at the precise time when I use xsetwacom to set another action key (eg. f or d), the strips stop working. Here is the custom script I use to do that : http://pastebin.com/Sgm2RXDJ After the execution of the script given, everything works just as expected, except the strips ! Thank you for your attention. ** Affects: xf86-input-wacom (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- xsetwacom goes wild with Intuos4 strips https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/680477 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 602636] [NEW] mp3blaster reacts very slowly to some commands
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mp3blaster Hello, since I changed to Lucid Lynx, mp3blaster reacts very slowly to some commands. More specifically, when a tune is already playing and when keys 2, 4,5 or 6 are pressed, it takes about 2s to answer, while it was instantaneous before the change of version. Other commands, including 1,3, work correctly. If no tune is currently playing, 5 works correctly. I notice no sound related problem on other music playing applications. [Bug 1802950] [NEW] X.org crashes after upgrade to 18.10
Public bug reported: After the upgrade from 18.04 to 18.10, SDDM fails to start. This happens with kernel 4.18.0-10 and 4.15.0-36 (it was the chance to discover grub-reboot) See SDDM crash file attached. The machine is a virtual machine, and PCI devices use virtio-pci driver for example. I looked into /var/log/Xorg.0.log and found many error messages, the first one being : (EE) open /dev/dri/card0: No such file or directory See Xorg log file and crash file attached. Then I looked at the output of 'lspci -vvnn' and it seems that no kernel driver manages the VGA Controller. See output of 'lspci -vvnn' attached According to the following message, the missing kernel driver may be : bochs-drm or virtio-vga https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2015-August/msg00220.html # lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 18.10 Release:18.10 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment ** Attachment added: "_usr_bin_sddm.0.crash" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1802950/+attachment/5211912/+files/_usr_bin_sddm.0.crash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1802950 Title: X.org crashes after upgrade to 18.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1802950/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
