[Bug 350936] Re: Should shut down domains on system shutdown
Tested on 10.04 64bit. Before installing the proposed package, guests' /var/log/dmesg contained this after every time the host was shutdown (either with shutdown command or by pressing power button): [7.316252] EXT3-fs: INFO: recovery required on readonly filesystem. [7.316256] EXT3-fs: write access will be enabled during recovery. [ 36.242794] kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds [ 36.242815] EXT3-fs: recovery complete. And after installing proposed package, guest dmesg contains: [7.101435] kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds [7.101455] EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. It gets a thumbs up from me! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350936 Title: Should shut down domains on system shutdown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kvm/+bug/350936/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 368962] Re: Can't reboot kvm virtual machines using virsh
As acpid is required in guest VMs for the Upstart pre-stop procedure to work, I'd like to suggest that acpid be included by default in Ubuntu Server virtual machine variants (or all Ubuntu Server default installs, for that matter). This will enable this feature to automatically work as expected in future versions of Ubuntu Server. [Bug 830142] Re: package samba-common-bin 2:3.5.8~dfsg-1ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: short read on buffer copy for backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/bin/smbpasswd'
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal: sudo apt-get clean Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your issue, but the failure can be caused by filesystem or memory corruption. So please also run a fsck on your filesystem(s) and a memory test. [Bug 833818] [NEW] default DIT suffix should be definable by user (debconf/preseed)
Public bug reported: After much complaining (bug #442498) the slapd package in Natty now sets up a default DIT out of the box. [Bug 752833] Re: apparmor deny freshclam mask="r" on /var/run/samba/unexpected.tdb
Talked it over with jdstrand, and the conclusion is that we will add another deny rule (or better yet, extend the existing one), to stop the log spamming. I've attached the rule suggested by jdstrand. We can't really reproduce this bug but the rule can be added safely as it doesn't change the default behavior, the access still gets denied, but not logged anymore. With this rule added, freshclam works the same. ** Patch added: "usr.bin.freshclam-oneiric.diff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clamav/+bug/752833/+attachment/2311840/+files/usr.bin.freshclam-oneiric.diff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to clamav in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/752833 Title: apparmor deny freshclam mask="r" on /var/run/samba/unexpected.tdb To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clamav/+bug/752833/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
