[Bug 1543624] Re: Please update nginx in Xenial to 1.9.11
We are not rolling Dynamic Module support at this time, though it's available in core. To build dynamic modules, one must build the module alongside nginx, at compile time, but it will produce .so shared library objects that can be individually packaged. There is an FTBFS in the nginx-extras flavor, with the Lua module. This is blocking uploading NGINX 1.9.11 to Ubuntu. Ongoing tracking of the incompatibility can be found at these upstream links for the Lua module: https://github.com/openresty/lua-nginx-module/issues/668 https://github.com/openresty/lua-nginx-module/pull/669 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nginx in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1543624 Title: Please update nginx in Xenial to 1.9.11 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1543624/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Re: [Bug 1543367] Re: nested unprileged container fails to start at mounting /proc
It's not something I regularly do, as I normally nest inside unprivileged lxd containers. So I can't say whether it is a regression. I did revert to an older trusty kernel and have the same behavior. I'm going to need to write a script to make this more easily reproducible, but I won't have time for that today. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1543367 Title: nested unprileged container fails to start at mounting /proc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1543367/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1486370] Re: ISST-LTE: not all mpath device files are symbol link
This is working correctly w/ kpartx. One instance it seems to be still generating symlinks/nodes intermixed is when using parted. [Bug 1543367] Re: nested unprileged container fails to start at mounting /proc
Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.5 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance. [Bug 1473903] Re: parted will generate two devices when adding one partition on mpath device
This is working correctly. Marking as verification-done. After partitioning with parted, there's only one device node for the partition (with the -part disk-partition separator). There's /still/ some messages in parted mentioning it could not find the device, but the partitions are created correctly -- note those messages were already present in the original bug report, so this is not a regression. # multipath -l mpath1 mpath1 (0QEMUQEMU HARDDISK trustytest) dm-0 QEMU,QEMU HARDDISK size=8.0G features='0' hwhandler='0' wp=rw |-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=-1 status=active | `- 0:0:3:0 sdf 8:80 active undef running `-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=-1 status=enabled `- 0:0:2:0 sde 8:64 active undef running # ls -l /dev/mapper/mpath1* brw-rw 1 root disk 252, 0 Feb 9 10:55 /dev/mapper/mpath1 # parted /dev/mapper/mpath1 GNU Parted 2.3 Using /dev/mapper/mpath1 Welcome to GNU Parted! [Bug 1543624] [NEW] Please update nginx in Xenial to 1.9.11
Public bug reported: NGINX 1.9.11 was released on February 9, 2016. Specifics of note are bugfixes in HTTP/2 (which remains disabled in Ubuntu), TCP support in the resolver functions, and the first of the dynamic modules functionality. -- This is the upstream changelog: Changes with nginx 1.9.1109 Feb 2016 *) Feature: TCP support in resolver. *) Feature: dynamic modules. *) Bugfix: the $request_length variable did not include size of request headers when using HTTP/2. *) Bugfix: in the ngx_http_v2_module. -- Coordination for the dynamic modules inclusion will be done with Debian, as they should likely be the first to produce dynamic-module-based packaging; once it's in Debian we may wish to consider it for inclusion later, with the release team's approval to do so. Such dynamic module inclusion will very likely result in an increase in the number of built binary packages, but this will be determined at a later time. For updating nginx in Xenial to 1.9.11, there should be no major packaging changes - as I would rather Debian come up with the module- specific-packages first, so it can then be merged and included into Xenial. I am currently touching base with Debian to determine if we want to do a coordinated release; if I don't hear from them, then nginx 1.9.11 will likely get its own upload with the -0ubuntu1 version suffix. (All changes from the prior merges will remain in place). ** Affects: nginx (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Assignee: Thomas Ward (teward) Status: In Progress ** Tags: xenial ** Description changed: NGINX 1.9.11 was released on February 9, 2016. [Bug 1543430] Re: kpartx 0.5.0-7ubuntu11 fails to remove loop mapping on kpartx -d
Ugh, yeah, I see now that the patch fixing dealing with loopbacks at all "regresses" in a way, but not dealing correctly with the loop entries even though it appears to deal with the devmapper table just fine. I'm looking at it right now, it's not pretty. There are basically two ways I can think of to deal with this. Either relying more on loopdev/device than S_ISREG on the buf that describes the file opened (we needed to stat the loopback device after picking it, otherwise no major/minor numbers to do the partition mappings), or hacking buf.st_mode to convince kpartx we're still dealing with a regular file. I'm trying to see what might break if we just use loopdev or device everywhere. I will upload as soon as I'm reasonably confident this does not further break things, and I'll adjust the autopkgtest accordingly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to multipath-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1543430 Title: kpartx 0.5.0-7ubuntu11 fails to remove loop mapping on kpartx -d To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/+bug/1543430/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
