*Please send me the profiles at deepak.gu...@simplion.com * Location: Must site in St Louis Duration: 6 months + (could be up to 1 ½ years) Interview Process: 1 skype interview *Data Modeler * *Job Description* *Job Responsibilities:* - Translates moderately complex business requirements into tangible data requirements through collaborative work with both business and technical subject matter experts. - Under minimal supervision, often working autonomously, designs and maintains complex, multi-application transactional and analytical data models at the conceptual and logical levels using standard data modeling tools. - Architects models with an eye towards high performance, scalability, flexibility and usability - Publishes and conducts model reviews with business and technical teams. - Assists with the translation of logical models to physical tables - Profiles large and complex data sets to discover and/or validate data quality issues and business rules. - Develops and documents functional specifications for data transformation based on business rules. - Ensures consistency of data definitions across areas of responsibility . - Assists Business and IT associates with creation of complex queries. - Provides data modeling and other data-related consulting services to external sections and departments . - Assists in the development of data-related policies, processes, procedures and standards. - Follows systems development methodologies and guidelines to manage and execute project tasks effectively and efficiently. Creating and enforcing database best practices and communicating with designers, developers and others to understand the business requirements. Writing database SQL scripts based upon what is requested, understand why a database is structured a certain way, and interface with BA's and developers. This person will understand and enforce the current standards, write new standards, understand why the database is structured a certain way and manage the request flow. This person will be actively updating multiple schemas on a continuous basis under the direction of the DBA. Must be able to write schema upgrade scripts from scratch without the assistance of tools. This is NOT a BI position. *Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope? * Working on projects directly related to Target pharmacy acquisition.
