[SOGo] Nightly snapshot & date description

2012-03-16 Thread Stefan Klatt
Hi,

use anybody the nightly snapshot and can use multiline descriptions for
appointments at the web interface?

If I use them, SOGo cuts everything after the first line :-(

Can't wait to give this a try once the rpms are available. Setting up
Thunderbird autoconfig is reasonably easy, but it's nice to have the
more complicated Outlook in such a nice package. Love the extensive
backend support too. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw SASL
auth in the mix. Very thorough.

[SOGo] sogo-tool expire

2012-03-16 Thread Donny Brooks
Ever since the 1.3.12a/b/c updates I had been having issues with my sieve not able to connect to my mail server to update the sieve scripts. I fixed that today by specifying the IP of the server in the defaults file. However now when sogo-tool runs via cron to expire vacation messages I get the following error:

2012-03-16 16:00:04.054 sogo-tool[7623] failure. Attempting with a renewed password (no authname supported)
2012-03-16 16:00:04.056 sogo-tool[7623] Could not login 'gwill' on Sieve server: <0x0x1f0377b8[NGSieveClient]: socket= connectedTo=<0x0x1f0401e8[NGInternetSocketAddress]: host=10.8.2.3 port=2000>>>: (null)
2012-03-16 16:00:04.119 sogo-tool[7623] An error occured while removing auto-reply of user gwill

Before today I only received this error when it tried to update:

2012-03-16 05:00:02.306 sogo-tool[9022] Sieve connection failed on mail.mdah.state.ms.us:2000
2012-03-16 05:00:02.372 sogo-tool[9022] An error occured while removing auto-reply of user gwill

So I thought fixing sieve would fix that but it looks like it made it worse. My mail filters are able to be edited in the web interface again though. Any ideas?

[SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.13

2012-03-16 Thread Francis Lachapelle
The Inverse Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of SOGo
1.3.13. This is a minor release of SOGo which focuses on improved stability
over previous versions.

=== What is SOGo ===

SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared
calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or by
using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning.

SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV and reuses
existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution easy to deploy
and interoperable with many applications.

SOGo features :

 * Scalable architecture suitable for deployments from dozen to many thousand
users
 * Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features and the
data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning
 * Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning by using the
SOGo Connector and the SOGo Integrator
 * Two-way synchronization support with any SyncML-capable devices (BlackBerry,
Palm, Windows CE, etc.) by using the Funambol SOGo Connector
 * Excellent integration with Apple iCal 3/4, Apple iOS and Android-based
devices

and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free.

=== Changes from the previous release ===

New Features
 * email notifications now include a new x-sogo-message-type mail header
 * added the "IMAPHostnameFieldName" parameter in SQL source to specify a
different IMAP hostname for each user (was already possible for LDAP sources)
 * default event & task classification can now be set from the preferences
window
 * contacts from LDAP sources can now be modified by privileged owners (see the
"modifiers" parameter)

Enhancements
 * bundled a shell script to perform and manage backups using sogo-tool
 * increased the delay before starting drag and drop in Mail and Contacts
module to improve the user experience with cheap mouses
 * improved contact card layout when it includes a photo
 * updated German translation
 * updated Spanish (Spain) translation
 * updated Spanish (Argentina) translation
 * updated Ukrainian translation
 * updated Hungarian translation
 * updated Dutch translation

Bug Fixes
 * fixed escaping issue with PostgreSQL 8.1
 * fixed resizing issue when editing an HTML message
 * fixed Spanish (Argentina) templates for mail reply and forward
 * we no longer show public address books (from SOGoUserSources) on iOS 5.0.1
 * improved support for IE

See http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/changelog_page.php?project_id=1 for closed tickets
and http://sogo.nu/files/downloads/SOGo/Sources/ChangeLog for the complete
change log.

New Thunderbird 3 and 10 extensions have also been released.

Did you configure /etc/saslauthd.conf ?

I use something like this (for an external server):
ldap_servers: ldaps://192.168.10.8/
ldap_auth_method: bind
ldap_bind_dn: cn=test,ou=diversen,ou=users,ou=xxx,dc=xxx,dc=local
ldap_bind_pw: secret
ldap_search_base: ou=xxx,DC=xxx,DC=local
ldap_filter: samaccountname=%u

If you have more questions, I think you can better ask the Cyrus list:
http://lists.andrew.cmu.edu/
Because this has nothing to do with sogo.
It's a friendly list with many people who will help.

With regards,
Paul van der Vlis.

Actually, problem not solved.

After some time being logged in I get "internal server error" if I'm
logged in and "An unhandled error occurred." if I try to login with this
log messages:

If I remove profile of my user

DELETE FROM `sogo`.`sogo_user_profile` WHERE `sogo_user_profile`.`c_uid`

I'm able to login and use SOGo for some time and then it happens again.

How could I further debug on this?

I've found my problem.

> MailFieldNames

First, MailFieldNames should be array and since it defaults to mail I
just removed this block.

Second, It was not working until I explicitly specified type=ldap for
SOGoUserSources. It's not clear in the docs that it should be specified,
docs doesn't mention "type" in "defaults write sogod
SOGoUserSources ..." command, but mentions it in config samples.

And third, I have to TRUNCATE all SOGo tables in MySQL to get rid of
SOGo EXCEPTION.

Well, each time I install SOGo I'm getting certain that SOGo itself is a
great software, BUT Gnustep configuration is a nightmare b/c it's hard
to debug.

Thanks.

You might look into making something something suitable for you yourself using
the relevant toolkits for perl/python/php/ruby. A quick websearch turned up

http://vpim.rubyforge.org/vcf-to-ics.txt

for example. I would not be surprised if something exactly right already is
available.

No, but there is a bug report (#504) for it.

Or is there a tool which generates "repeating events" from the birthday
information?

None that I know of.
If you find one, please post it here.

One thing that might work is a thunderbird addon called
"ThunderBirthDay". It generates a read-only calendar automatically from
brithday information in your adressbook. Maybe you can publish this
calendar to SOGo (never tried it myself), but at least it gives you your
birthdays in TB until the bug in SOGo is fixed.

As long as the bug I mentiond in my previous mail is not fixed, there is
no elegant way.

I had the same problem with LDAP and also found the same "solution". In my case
it was easy:

The problem came up, when I copied the SOGo-Keys from the PDF document and
inserted it into the terminal. This seems to make trouble! Delete the key and
insert it by type it manually.

In my case it was the IMAPLoginFieldName key that produced the exception.

[SOGo] JSON problems while importing sieve rules

2012-03-16 Thread m_brunnl
Hi folks,

I am currently importing sieve rules into sogo using the sogo-tool.
Therefore I execute the following: ($...: variables that I have
instantiated)

sudo -u $sogoUser sogo-tool user-preferences set defaults $userToModify
$sogoUser:$pw SOGoSieveFilters '{"SOGoSieveFilters": [{"actions":
[{"method": "fileinto", "argument": "INBOX\/Test"}], "active": true,
"rules": [{"operator": "contains", "field": "from", "value":
"us...@web.de"}], "match": "any", "name": "UserFilter"}]}'

All I get is:

<0x0x1c8f710[SOGoCache]> Cache cleanup interval set every 300.00 seconds

<0x0x1c8f710[SOGoCache]> Using host(s) 'localhost' as server(s)

Aborted

I cannot see any problem with the example sieve rule and nothing is said
about an error.

Any suggestions?

Best regards,

Malte

[SOGo] IMAP sogo

2012-03-16 Thread Mikel
Hi

I have instaled SOGO and cyrus-imapd-2.2 like I can read in
documentation, I configure IMAP with:

root@debianSogo:~# su - sogo
sogo@debianSogo:~$ defaults write sogod SOGoDraftsFolderName Drafts
sogo@debianSogo:~$ defaults write sogod SOGoSentFolderName Sent
sogo@debianSogo:~$ defaults write sogod SOGoTrashFolderName Trash
sogo@debianSogo:~$ defaults write sogod SOGoIMAPServer localhost

I have Sogo with Ldap autentification, I it's works fine on sogoweb. But
I can't connect to IMAP throw thunderbird I have always login or
password incorrect but are well.

If I connect to telnet in port 143 the server response but I can't
login too, always I get login worn or user incorrect

I think that IMAP is not working with Ldap like Sogo is working,

Any Idea please?

Thank you very much!!

Re: [SOGo] Re: tb+lightning. user interface: can't switch from day-view to week, multiweek, month.

2012-03-16 Thread Michael Leitner
Hi Andre,

clicking on one of the tabs does not affect the error console, but there's
a reported error that appears right after starting thunderbird.

hope this is it.

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code:
> 0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER) [calIDateTime.getInTimezone]"
> nsresult: "0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)" location: "JS frame ::
> chrome://calendar/content/calUtils.js :: now :: line 421" data: no]
>

trying to change the calendar-view over the menue fails. the according
option 'view->calendar' is grayed out.

thanks, Michael

so two request were executed on the same process, so it doesn't look like a
"cache problem" but why the second request return a "NOT FOUND" ?
