[SOGo] Outlook question . . .

2015-09-24 Thread Steve Ankeny
Setting up "new" Outlook 2010 account following the "Outlook
Configuration" guide (pg 18)

It's giving me the following error --

"The action cannot be completed. The name cannot be matched to a name
in the address list."

Is this a server error or an Outlook error? It appears to me to be an
Outlook error.

Should the account be setup within Outlook as well as under "Control
Panel | Mail"?

I am using all the suggestions on pg 18 Thx

[SOGo] Private appointments and Thunderbird

2015-09-24 Thread Alessandro Briosi
Hi all,
just want to verify something.

Is it normal that through Thunderbird I can see details of other's
people calendar events, and through the web I cannot.

The settings (ACL) is set to hide details about calendar events.

I'm the only one using Thunderbird, all the others use the web interface
(afaik), but I'm also the administrator and till now I thought it was
'cause of that.

But connecting via web interface behaviour is not consistent, so maybe
it's a bug.

Sogo is 2.3.2
Integrator is: 31.0.1

I agree with you.
But I don't think the developer will do that, because these locks and
the error message are generated from the SOPE library.
SOPE is not only used by SOGo.
In other software those locks are needed and useful.

[SOGo] Multiple mail fields in LDAP

2015-09-24 Thread Mathieu Mirmont
Hi everyone,

I use SOGo with an LDAP user database and my users have multiple "mail"
fields for email aliases. The first email address listed in LDAP is
always the canonical one, the one that should be used everywhere, and
the one that matches their LDAP uid. Generally the canonical mail
address is firstn...@company.com and aliases can be anything but often
firstname.surn...@company.com or f.surn...@company.com for convenience.

This causes problems with SOGo. I have the feeling that sogo reads all
mail fields from the LDAP database, and then does an strcmp() on all of
them to select which one to use. With my setup it systematically picks
the one with a dot as second character instead of the first entry.

Can I change this behaviour? I'm fine with recompiling SOGo if necessary.

Here's an example scenario where this behaviour is problematic:

- In Thunderbird/Lightning the email address that is registered with my
calendar is my canonical email address: firstn...@company.com

- I create an event on Thunderbird and click "Invite Attendees". There
my email address isn't my canonical email address but one of my email
aliases: f.surn...@company.com and I cannot change it (greyed out).

- I invite attendees to my event, using their canonical email addresses
firstn...@company.com. They receive the invitation, accept it, and send
the confirmation email back.

- The confirmation email comes from their canonical email address (the
From: field of the email), but the content of the email refers to them
using one of their email aliases (f.surn...@company.com).

- Thunderbird says "This message contains an update to an existing
event". If I click the "Update" button, the event gets populated with a
new attendee, using the attendee's email alias.

- As a result I get double the number of attendees to my event, half of
them with their canonical email address and without confirmation, and
the other half with an email alias.

Cheers,

Ok, how do I resolve the issue at this point? Re-provision OpenChange?

I realized the message -- "nothing to migrate" -- meant just that!

Everything was alright! I could query the database, and since there
were no Outlook profiles, there was no data to migrate after the
upgrade. All the FSMO schemas, including SchemaMasterRole, were present.

*Notice: OpenChange is not running!*

OpenChange WAS running as 'openchange-ocsmanager' (and, I misunderstood)

*How do I check OpenChange provision?*

I installed 'openchange-client' and ran 'mapiprofile' successfully
(again, no profiles yet) after resolution.

THAT was my original problem. I will take a snapshot of my VM and
start OpenChange

I took a snapshot of the VM (for backup), uncommented the DCERPC calls
in 'smb.conf' and restarted.

Everything works fine, and I'm pleased the addition of 'libnanomsg0' and
'python-memcache' resolve the issue I was having getting OpenChange
working. Both Samba & OpenChange now run properly on my server.

Thanks for your consideration, and thanks for your patience.

[SOGo] Calender descriptions problem

2015-09-24 Thread Rainer Ruprechtsberger
Hi,

one of our users reported a problem we can't really nail down so I
thought I ask here if someone else came across it too:

Sometimes (as in we can't reproduce it) the last line of the description
of a calender events 'disapears'. The event is saved and when it's
re-openend the last line is missing.

SOGo: 2.3.2-1
TB 31

The sogo logs shows exactly one PUT, so I guess it is removed while
saving. A backup with sogo-tool shows that it is in fact not there and
this is not a problem of displaying it.

We're not aware of any other of our users having this problem but the
reporting user adds a lot of appointments to the calendar and most
likely to hit something that rarly occurs at some point.

Any pointers would be appretiated.

rupi

No - not right now.

First of all, over ActiveSync, we currently only send over the
personal calendar and personal address book. This "limitation" will
be removed soon (quite an easy fix).

Once we do that, additional personal collections and ones shared (and
subscribed too) will be exposed over ActiveSync - so clients can also
consume the data from them. We'll enforce ACL at the server level
when offering them. Outlook 2013 (and other AS clients) will likely
allow you to modify locally the data even if you aren't allowed, but
the server will reject the modifications and tell the client to sync
the data back - reverting to the server's copy.

AFAIK, there's no concept of sharing/delegation/ACLs with ActiveSync.

[SOGo] How to change global calendar categories for all users?

2015-09-24 Thread Volker Schmitt
Hello,

SOGoCalendarCategories and SOGoCalendarCategoriesColors in sogo.conf
seems to be defaults for new users, or users never changed/saved their
calendar configuration via webfrontend.

Can I set global categories for all existing users?

Kind regards

Volker

Not implemented in SOGo.
(I do not know C.A.S. auth, perhaps it provides two factor auth?)

> 2. multiple SMTP identities( one account with multiple identities)

You can use multiple emails for one account. Your auth source has to
provide them.
But there is only one signature for all of them, and you have to
manually choose, which one to use when sending emails.

> 3. ACL Control (one user with multiple inboxes)

I am not sure what you want here.
If you want to be able to add other accounts, then you have to set
SOGoMailAuxiliaryUserAccountsEnabled = YES;
With that your users can add other email accounts.

If you want to share IMAP folders between accounts, then the owner of
the account has to right click on the folder and use "Sharing..." in
order to set the privileges for the person who shall have access to it.

Kind regards,
